Dem rep. says Obama should 'withdraw' authorization request

The president should cancel his request for Congress to approve U.S. military strikes in Syria, Democratic Rep. Jim McGovern said Sunday.
"If I were the president, I would withdraw my request for the authorization at this particular point," the congressman from Massachusetts said on CNN's "State of the Union." "I don't believe the support is there in Congress."

Ha, ha, ha! Of course Congress would love it if Obama withdraws his request! Congress doesn't want (nor can't) make any decisions!!! Our overpaid elected representatives enjoy all the benefits of office, but want no responsibility for anything!!! This stalemate, for them, is like "living the dream"! Do nothing, think nothing, get the big paychecks and go on vacations (oops, exploratory missions) all over the world. Why upset the apple cart?
This is what "we" got when the "Pork Barrel" was retired. At least things got accomplished when we had it, now nothing gets done! Today, our representatives in Congress can't sell their votes like they could before. Bought and sold votes surely violated the principles of a "democratic" government, but at least big and little things got done! Now, NOTHING gets done!
