FIRST ON CNN: State Department pulls diplomats from Lahore, Pakistan, amid terror threat

The State Department has evacuated most of its diplomats from Lahore, Pakistan in response to a terrorist threat against the U.S. consulate, senior State Department and other senior U.S. officials told CNN.

"We have picked up what we regard as a threat worthy of taking this action," one senior U.S. official told CNN.

The State Department issued an "ordered departure" for all of its diplomats in Lahore Thursday, except for a handful of emergency personnel. The diplomats were moved to Islamabad, the nation's capital, officials said.

A travel warning issued by the State Department said the department "ordered this drawdown due to specific threats concerning the U.S. Consulate in Lahore" and warned U.S. citizens against travel to Pakistan.

I think we once had cruel and unusual punishments for a reason. Back in the 16th century this is how England dealt with terrorism. When they caught Guy Fawkes with his gunpowder plot (and Co.) and his Catholic plan to blow up Parliament (he never even had a chance to pull it off): This was the sentence: "They were to be "put to death halfway between heaven and earth as unworthy of both". Their genitals would be cut off and burnt before their eyes, and their bowels and hearts removed. They would then be decapitated, and the dismembered parts of their bodies displayed so that they might become "prey for the fowls of the air" (not to mention maggots etc.). Give them something to think twice about, or rather fear since that is all they seem to understand. Or should we be politically correctly incorrect until the Islamic flag is flyng over the WHite House (which is one of the top goals of the Muslim Brotherhood) and pigs are flying and demons are everywhere? Food for thought. Are we being too nice?

Pakistan is a trouble country and we have wasted way too much money in this country to win hearts and minds of people, and what we get in return? Threats. Just bomb them and put fear in their hearts and minds, so they never utter threats.

FIRST ON CNN: State Department pulls diplomats from Lahore, Pakistan, amid terror threat; yes but NOT THE FIRST TIME ON CNN; State Department have pulled diplomats from Lahore, Pakistan due to terror threats many times in past, what is the big deal? Pakistan is a absolutely corrupt country including army generals and politicians, out lawmakers keep feeding cheese to these rats to get dirty work done. How many time Paki army has fired a shot at drone? How many times times politicians have summoned US diplomats for violation of sovereignty of Pakistan, except recycling some protest statements !!!! These threats are not new of FIRST time.

If the purpose of a terror attack is to get people thinking about it, then perhaps they have just figured out a way to grace the front page of the news without a few of their earnest followers blowing themselves up. Effectively you are in the catch 22, if you stop it , you have no evidence of need for the american people / prism. If you fail to stop something, again what good did it do. etc. But the way you are avoiding it, and trying to capitalize on the pr value, you are enabling the terrorists to achieve their primary goal (disruption in daily life of EVERYONE) all by reaching the front page.
If I was them, under heavy losses from drones, unable to enact day to day ops and running low on sacrificial lambs and handlers for them knowing what I do I would flood the interwebs with triggers. No matter what you lose in the eyes of the people, as you stated. I wouldnt lose people, but would get the same effect. After you figure out what they are doing , it is likely they know more then was released from filling in the blanks, it is likely a ton of viruses will be released to flood your systems. Then legit attacks will happen undercover of the flood.

Like I said before Random, if the leaders of Al Qaeda were smart, they'd just sit back and do nothing, thus letting those idiots in Washington make themselves look as dumb as they are!!!
