A message from al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri to his second in command in Yemen told him to "do something," causing U.S. and Yemeni officials to fear imminent terrorist action, CNN has learned.
For weeks, U.S. and Yemeni officials watched a rising stream of intelligence about the possibility of a major terrorist attack in Yemen but grew increasingly alarmed after intercepting a message within the past several days said to be from al-Zawahiri, who is believed to be in Pakistan. The message was sent to Nasir al-Wuhayshi, the leader of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, the terror group's Yemeni affiliate. U.S. intelligence believes al-Wuhayshi has recently been appointed the overall terror organization's No. 2 leader.
U.S. officials cautioned that there may be multiple sources of intelligence including intercepts of electronic information from phone calls, web postings, but also interrogation of couriers or other operatives.
CNN had the information over the weekend and decided not to report the details about al-Zawahiri's involvement based on U.S. government concerns about the sensitivity of the information. Now that it has been widely reported in other media, including the New York Times and McClatchy, CNN has now decided to report it as well.
The United States has heightened its security stance by issuing a worldwide travel alert and closing a number of embassies and consulates over a large area of the Middle East and Africa this week.
The White House said the substantial security steps reflect an "abundance of caution" over intelligence information that indicated final planning by al Qaeda in Yemen for possible terrorist attacks on Western targets to coincide with the end of Ramadan this week.
The intercepted message further intensified concerns already heightened by increased terrorist chatter detected by intelligence agencies, as well as a series of prison breaks that freed al Qaeda figures.
A senior official with Iraq's interior ministry told CNN on condition of not being identified that top officials of al Qaeda in Iraq, including Adnan Ismail Najim Abdullah al-Dulaimi, escaped from Abu Ghraib prison during a jailbreak there last month and remain at large.
Yemen is an area of particular concern.
Three sources said the United States has information that members of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula are in the final stages of planning for an unspecified attack.
White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters on Monday that U.S. anti-terrorism efforts had decimated al Qaeda's global leadership and greatly diminished its core in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region. But the threat still posed "has shifted to some of these affiliates, in particular AQAP."
Over the weekend, Interpol warned that al Qaeda has been tied to the prison breaks on July 23 in Iraq, on July 26 in Libya and four days later in Pakistan.
Separately, American special forces units overseas have been on alert for the past several days for a mission to attack potential al Qaeda targets if those behind the most recent terror threats against U.S. interests can be identified, a senior Obama administration official told CNN.
The official declined to identify the units or their locations because of the sensitive nature of the information.
The units, along with several others, were put on heightened alert by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel last week.

No need to be concerned. If these political figureheads are anything like our politicians here in the US, they won't do a damn thing. We have been waiting years for congress to help us out of this mess they helped to create, the only productive thing they seem to be able to accomplish is tweet weener shots, go on vacation, stall any progress and blame others. Maybe if they weren't all about Jihad...
OMG, all this embassy closing hysteria over a desperate "do something" message from the bankrupt al-Qaeda.
NSA, you guys are evil AND pathetic.
.
Bankrupt? Please don't choke on that misinformation. With 5% of global GDP controlled by wahabi's and terrorist organizations, you think they are broke? Common.
Yeah, like bin-Laden was living in a run-down compound. Boy they are just rolling in it.
Have fun with your fantasy. al-Qaeda is broke.
.
" Do something!" Doesn't he say that, like, daily? My favorite was the blue, red, green, whatever terror alerts in the Bush era? Some investigation underway of a Bush staffer? RED ALERT! Election coming up? RED FREAKING ALERT!
Who would have thought that when Obama did nothing when the USA embassy in Benghazi was attacked that it would embolden the Muslim fanatics to the extent that they could send the Americans running from all their embassies in the Middle East with their tails between their legs? Just about everyone, what a sad reflection on the voters in the USA.
"I'm just giving you life and you're giving me life. And I'm saying that men can live together without butchering one another" Josey
Nuke them all and turn the middle east to glass!
NRA taught me everything I know. Though, taught seems a bit like an oxymoron at this point.
Two words and we close embassies around the world. Imagine the effect if he'd written a paragraph or two!
"do something" is not a plot as they were saying. this is only to get people to back off the NSA spying........fact
Those are some fugly dudes. No wonder they stay p is sed all the time
Remember how parents tell their kids "Eat your vegetable or the boogeyman will get you"?
Translate that into "Accept losing your rights to the NSA or Al-Quaida will get you"
You know, it’s so ludicrous. For eight straight years, literally, Democrats, every time there was a terrorist alert or a terrorist advisory issued by the United States government in the middle of a debate over one of the Bush-Cheney civil liberties abuses, would accuse the United States government and the national security state of exaggerating terrorism threats, of manipulating advisories, of hyping the dangers of al-Qaeda, in order to distract attention away from their abuses and to scare the population into submitting to whatever it is they wanted to do. And so, here we are in the midst of, you know, one of the most intense debates and sustained debates that we’ve had in a very long time in this country over the dangers of excess surveillance, and suddenly an administration that has spent two years claiming that it has decimated al-Qaeda decides that there is this massive threat that involves the closing of embassies and consulates throughout the world. And within literally an amount of hours, the likes of Saxby Chambliss and Lindsey Graham join with the White House and Democrats in Congress—who, remember, are the leading defenders of the NSA at this point—to exploit that terrorist threat and to insist that it shows that the NSA and these programs are necessary.
What that has to do with the ongoing controversy about the NSA is completely mystifying. Nobody has ever questioned or disputed that the U.S. government, like all governments around the world, ought to be eavesdropping and monitoring the conversations of people who pose an actual threat to the United States in terms of plotting terrorist attacks. The controversy is over the fact that they are sweeping up billions and billions of emails and telephone calls every single day from people around the world and in the United States who have absolutely nothing to do with terrorism. And, if anything, the only thing that that controversy—the warning has to do with the current controversy is that the argument that a lot of analysts have made, very persuasively, is that when you have an agency that collects everything, it actually becomes harder, not easier, to detect actual terrorist plots and to find the actual terrorists. And if this agency really were devoted, if these surveillance programs were really devoted to finding terrorism, they would be much more directed and discriminating. But they’re not. They’re indiscriminate and limitless, and that’s one of the problems.
-Glenn Greenwald
aethiests are top on the list of infidels, so the jail breaks are a lie, and the islamists dont kill people right.....the one who is in the dark is you
There are atheists in arab and Moslem states as well. I don't see them being hunted down, there are Christians who lived there for centuries even during so called "sharia" and they were not oppressed otherwise they wouldn't exist in Egypt for example. Now look at jews and israel and how many christians were there before and how many now.
the real problem are jews, and they need to be dealt with sooner or later.
Glenn's a good guy and an astute observer.
Sorry man, I just started reading and kinda fell off lost interest. But thanks for putting thought into it.
I just went #2.
A rare global terror alert on the heels of a massive NSA spy scandal seems a tad bit convenient.
Thank you!!
Be afraid! Be very afraid! ...now accept NSA monitoring into your lives...
Intercept... intercept... Hey aaaa Nazir, you getting kinda far round the belly.. your beard look like goat's rear end.. do something ok.
NSA – red alert!!!
intercept... Hey aaaa Nazir, you getting kinda far round the belly.. your beard look like goat's rear end.. do something ok.
NSA – red alert!!!
The news seems to divert people attantion of NSA scandle,no indentify,no voice tape,no video.Threat is not excuse of spying citisen.
Al-Qaeda top leaders have been shown to very high mortality rates, and life insurance is next to impossible for them to obtain. If these guys have seen Zero Dark Thirty they know they're next in line, and that every bowel movement will be inspected. Best lay low.
So there was no specific threat, despite what multiple warmongers said on the Sunday talk shows.
You can fool some of the people all of the time; and all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. - Abraham Lincoln
A rare global terror alert of the heels of a massive NSA spy scandal seems a tad bit convenient.
same with the jail breaks right....the problem is you think they care about world events, or us, they dont, they only care about killing in the name of a god, or converting us to their religion, but the religion they believe so intently does not even mention the internet in the holy book so much for that god and they also love using the internet to spread the propoganda even though it is sinning-- hypocritical killers, the sooner we classify the religion as a multi level marketing scam or a ponzi scheme the better
The NSA spy "scandal" is no such thing. It's been going on for almost a decade, is authorized under the patriot act, and has been known about by both parties since its inception. It's old news. Has nothing to do with this.
OMG!!! Really??? Is that ALL???? MY BOSS TELLS ME TO DO SOMETHING ALL THE TIME!!!
ohh look how we try to make it feel with our crappy security clearance theme... and our crappy comment system that is good for censoring people....
Hey look, terrorists!
So, uh., does this mean we can keep spying on everyone?
If your house/family were blown up you would be furious over the lack of "oversight". The knife cuts both ways. As long as there are crazy muslims, people will demand security.
Actually, I'm much more afraid of dying in a car crash. Or being killed by thugs. Or dying of a preventable disease because I can't find a job that pays enough to allow me to go to the Doctor. Or being hit by lightning. Pretty much anything is MUCH MORE LIKELY than having my family killed by terrorists. Now can you please divert that $675 BILLION PER YEAR from the Defense department to solving some of these real problems? You can keep a bit – enough to keep the Nukes ready so that if anyone tries another 9/11 we can just vaporize their country and leave it radioactive for 1000 years.
please drone this towel-headed fool. let him enjoy the fires of hell instead of his 29 virgins. Perv.
Looks like that nobody cares what No. 1 has said to No. 2. The bloggers in this website are thoroughly confused who is No. 1 and who is No. 2. And who is No. 3?
We all thought that No. 1 used to be bin Laden. And No. 1 used to send regular communiqué of lengthy audio tapes by untainted USPS. Now, the new No. 1 only communicates with No. 2 via cell phones which are monitored by the NSA.
Convenient timing. al-Qaeda, instead of laying low, decides to provide justification for US policy. Either their way of destroying the western way of life is to provoke governments into destroying freedom or citiziens into revolt; or they've got less brains than a carrot.
Tell Pakistan no more foreign aid until they turn the #2 turd over. See how fast they fall in line.
Hey Tom, How much do you know about Pakistan? I'm not a fan of Pak, but I believe that much of the terror is happening after US involvement. These suicide bombers were unheard of b4. Now they're the order of the day. Take out the US AID(S), and the terrorism will go away with it. Me thinks the aid is payment to DO, yes, DO terror, not prevent it. Go figure.
I am fully convinced that after 9/11 we called up Pakistan and said 'We're going to be bombing Afghanistan back to the Stone Age. To do so we will be flying over your country. Can you please tell us if we will have any bombs left when we get to the Afghan border or should we just double our bomb load?'
To which the answer was... 'Errrr... Yeah no problem. In fact, Pakistan is your Ally! Yeah, that's the ticket!'
CNN, you should be ashamed of yourself.
I'd prefer more inane Trayvon Martin case headlines than the fearmongering you are participating in.
I guess it pays to be part of the propaganda arm of the government?
big win for al Qaeda on this on. one word from this guy and the mighty USA goes into panic mode
Pathetic, All he has to say is "do something," And America "the fearless," Spasms in fearful reaction... This is not defeating terrorism, The events of the last week show that the terrorists have won.
.
For the love of God please stop making this info public and act on it
To hell with god. You can make love to him there.
shush!
Al-Zawahiri to his No. 2 'do something'. isn't that the FUNNIEST HEADLINE EVER!? all my #2 ever does is stink...
Hahahahahahaaaa best post ever!!!!
BRILLIANT! A splash of humor to wash down the bile and vitriol.
"Do something"? Really? LOL ..... what a joke Obama has become ...... "Do something"? He is one scared dude ain't he?
You are the scarediecat. He's going through caniptions because of whiners like you.
Sorry, I didn't think my dumb comment would be read by anyone. Again, i apologize for lowering your intelligence by making you read that 🙁
Thought i would update everyone after that ignorant post I made. My parents told me Obama was a bad guy so I pretty much blame him any chance I get. I can't really think for myself so please don't make fun of me.
hahaha nice one
Chris is the proof that you are not born a racist, that it is taught.
Wow! The power of Zawahiri:
He simply utters two words: "do something", and the superpower of the world has to shut down 22 embassies? That's unbelievable.
Does no one realise that this is just USG making the case for wire tapping us all against our fourth amendment rights? Think about it..... Everyone's outraged over the revelations that NSA has the capability to tap every phone call, email, tweet, Facebook post, etc. So, how to change the tide of sentiment.... Hmmmmm.... Lets make up a fake situation where we point out that using these techniques we discovered a nebulous terrorist plot,..... Oh, the horror! But now people inclined to believe its okay to tap us all have a great example to show why we should let the gov violate our fourth amendment rights... A dangerous threat uncovered using those illegal powers..... Really? REALLY?
So fix it by limiting that power to foreigners only!!!! Not going to happen.
People are such tools. Especially the consumer class christians, absolute fools. Like some Twilight Zone episode, give them an ounce of fear and they'll erupt into a mass hysteria killing machine.
Lets go Hunting!
I hope Nasir likes his drone missiles extra crispy.
Ayman al-Zawahiri , remember what happened to Bin Ladin? Guess what, You are next !!
This article says that Al Zawahiri is believed to be in Pakistan. That one trash of a country needs to be punished. Just hate the P@ki$.
SOOORY!!!!!!!!!!, But I am a Canadian. Smoke him!!!!! & the # 2-3-4-5-6-...... I am from Toronto & I hate guns. It is what it is... Toast these guys.
why the hell can't we just blow up these idiots? they want to kill us
Obama loves his moslem brothers too dearly.
You are such an idiot. Your hatred has turned you to become an idiot and irresponsible
We got Bin Ladin but the job's not done obviously. We have to go get them and kill them, end of story.
could you define 'WE'? i'm assuming that means YOU are going too, right?
Of course not. We means someone else.
Oh? And here I thought he meant it in the Royal "We". I thought he meant he personally was gonna go on a killing spree. Right after he gets done sucking his thumb and going wee-wee.
Call in the B52s, I am getting tired of these a-clowns. Hell, even Egypt can't stand these idiots.
how long before our US gov't leads us into oblivion?
our gov't cannot be believed in one word they say--this included--
These are the worst of times, these are the best of times. But it also may well be the end of time for all people.
Real journalist: We should probably discuss massive, indiscriminate, domestic NSA spying.
CNN: Just shut it!
Real journalist: Why?
CNN: Terrorism, that's why!
Let's be sure we don't send a drone for Ayman al-Zawahiri – at least not without getting permission from Rand Paul and the other anarchists.
Are you the same Larry L that posts in Porsche forums? Just wondering.
Real journalist: We should probably discuss massive, indiscriminate, domestic NSA spying.
CNN: Just shut it!
Real journalist: Why?
CNN: Terrorism!
Tell this butt picker to shove some fava beans up his a**.
Drones and seals have gotten rid of most of the Al Qaeda leaders in Pakistan. So these terrorists had to pick some loser from Yemen since they were running short of goons in the Motherland of Terror called Pakistan.
I have to agree with you. Pakistan is the hotbed of terror these days. However, much of that terror is imported, probably instigated by agents of a superpower operating freely in Pakistan with impunity, killing people and murdering them in daylight, and getting away with the murders when their sponsors, John Kerry et al, goes and bails them out of jail.
Hopefully, one of our Seals, will put a bullet on that bulls eye on his forehead.
That will kill this person named Zawahiri. It will not end terrorism, because the causes of terrorism aren't Kosher to discuss - Shalom!
Sounds to me like the O got punked by the terrorists. How many times will this happen before any terror warnings are ignored like the organizer that cried wolf?
Well you need to cook up a conspiracy! Surely you can find something negative about the President's record in that area... However, he's killed terrorists like rats at the town dump – something Bush and "Uncle Dick" never had time to do. He's been the terrorist's worst nightmare – leveraging technology and intelligence capabilities to save the lives of our Service-members.
When you start your new conspiracy you might want to start it with "you won't hear this on the lame-stream media... but...". With that lead comment your peers will believe it regardless of how foolish and distorted it appears. Good luck!
Such a "peaceful" group....NOT!!!
What idiot in Washington leaked this info?
Who said Al-Qaeda was a peaceful group? Derp da derp no has.
pogy toggy dodo meecha meecha booty
Hee, hee... Assange likes that booty....
this world needs an enema. starting with you people.
It is only Natural that TRIGGER HAPPY, WAR PRONE United States of America gets PUNISHED once in a while for it's VAST amount of ATROCITIES and systematic LOOTING of BARBARICALLY dominated land!
At the end of the day America does EVERYTHING in it's power to be the most HATED and desirable target for most extremists in the planet...
This from a guy who uses the name of a statutory rapist as his moniker.
please cite your source
Coming from the cowardly rapist hiding in the embassy, that means a lot.
At least you have the right to your opinion in this Country. Even if it is ignorant.
Hey Einstein.....ever hear of the Marshall Plan? If it weren't for the United States, you and your native country would've been a small province in Russian Empire! It is precisely because of hate mongerers like yourself that the world is in the position it find itself. The USA has been far from perfect but their track record of benevolence and generosity is unmatched by any other nation in the planet's history. This is an undeniable, indisputable fact. I have a serious problem with corporations and their evil nature, and the USA has engaged in some questionable behavior, especially recently, but your blatant hatred, resentment, anti USA hatred and outright subjectivity have severely clouded your ability to tell the truth to many. You have had a platform to do good and to inform and enlighten. Instead you chose to largely engage in the hypocrisy and dishonesty you accuse the United States of performing. At the end of the day the United States of America still has more integrity and character than any other.
Here's what I read: "Angry and bitter, angry and bitter, angry and bitter, angry and bitter, angry and bitter, angry and bitter, full of crap, angry and bitter, full of crap, angry and bitter."
Thanks for your support during my ordeal!
The government wants to be so strong that no one would even think of criticizing it With cameras everywhere, spying on everyone's everything, high taxes, extremely harsh penalties for late payments to government offices, huge purchases of weapons to keep them out of the hands of people, the country is only going to go downhill – self implode. No need for Alqaeda.
Jules, even Carlos Danger is more popular than you right now. Button it and do something else...
Sorry, but the US goes out of its way to try to minimize collaterial damage and to actually kill real bad guys. You should be careful of how you depict the US...If we ever are guilty of what you've claimed then we'll just start nuking those we don't like. Meanwhile, Radical Islam blows up suicide bombers in public marketplaces. Now who is the Moral leader?
Move along...nothing to see here. Just more smoke & mirrors from the most transparent administration ever...Ha ha!
Anyone believe this a tactic by our Gov't to get us to fear Terrorism again for two purposes, 1) to take our attention away from NSA and 2) to strengthen the support for the NSA cause their Global Security and Wiretapping prevented an attack. Its a bull!
Some senator or Obama probably just got caught with a banana in his behind and this is just to distract everyone so it won't be noticed.
Wow, did you and your ignorance miss the point. That 'monkey' just won the war on terror. They figured out that all they have to do is start a rumour on line and american diplomatic staff will run away like a bunch of little girls.
What a trashy, moronic, low-class comment. Some of our citizens aren't worth defending and sure as hell aren't good Americans.
I'd agree more, if I knew what color of terror threat this is. Green is my favorite color but we never seem to be green. Guess I'll go shopping to ease the anxiety.
Hopefully your theory (it`s bull) wont be proven by a fatale attack against US or whomever in the coming days, becuase this would be a solid evidence that it was bull..anyway I agree with your statment and hope the good guys catch those bad guys before they hit
Maybe this al-Zawahiri monkey is just embarrassed because nothing these childish people do is really all that big of a deal. Besides 9/11 these Islamic terrorists are mostly just a bunch of retarded little boys that can't find a girlfriend and are so sadly uneducated that they can't get work except selling rotten hot dogs in their uncle's quicky mart.
You are funny!
It's that sort of thinking that allowed 9/11 to happen in the first place. Go learn something.
Never seen a more naïve comment!
Ya "do something" like wave your turban when you see the drone flying over your mud house.
I would like it to be CNN's policy to have a 24 hr delay whenever reporting something prematurely reported by another news agency. If your policy is to respect requests to firewall sensitive info, you should go the extra length to honor that request.
Being first isn't everything – your reporting did not suffer while withholding this piece of intelligence.
After the Egyptian military coup he will find more people help him in attack. This due to role of USA in this coup
You know the US is now having to close several of its embassies temporarily, we now have no informatory privacy thanks to the NSA, and we now get to get groped at the airport by the TSA. The US government insists that these are all necessary to protect our security. They also tell us that the reason the terrorists hate us is because we're free and we don't follow Muslim sharia law. You know in Mexico they go at it like rabbits and getting drunk is very popular pass time here yet I haven't seen a single plane slammed into a building in Mexico. Has anyone ever thought maybe the problem is the US's foreign policy?
Bingo!
Ah, another "There'll be peace as soon as the bad Americans go away". What a crock. The 20th anniversary of any US return to isolationism would be marked by the opening shots of WW III - the version where a third of the planet is rendered barren.
Perhaps that is necessary. In the long run, Islam must be destroyed. I vote for the 'third of the world' be everything from Morocco to Pakistan.
Supposedly, al-Zwaheri is a doctor?? (or am I thinking of some other Al Queda nut job?)

Have you clowns forgotten 911? If you have nothing to hide and it will protect American lives, Snoop away!
I will NOT accept continual living in a Police State. No matter HOW many Americans died on 9/11. I will, however, remember the lessons learned that day and continue to hunt Radical Islam wherever I find it.
'DO SOMETHING?'
The most Al Qaeda could do nowadays is molest camels. So just let them do it.
Ayman al-Zawahiri: "My turban is dirty".
I helped shape the US military sniper program when I was a young teenager. This is what I was told at the dinner table of a master sargent infront of his whole family. Not many years later I was called a Saint by religious fanatics. DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE or do you see what others want you to see...
People are both good and evil as they are but tools
are you good or evil?
choose a side and prepare to fight to the death America.
NSA probably has FBI on their way to your house (or tent or cave)...
We're totally prepared, united and committed. We're not perfect, yeah we get that – but we're the United States of America – so choose your fights carefully. We love brazen people (that's a compliment, you're a person) like you who just step out and ask for it... We do more, give more, than any other country on this planet. We are the kindest and most caring people. We are the most generous. We hate it that innocents are killed as we try to eliminate the worlds lunatics, extremists, murderers, and terrorists. Which category (or categories) are you in?
Americans better wake up and smell the coffee.,
evil exists and it is in bed with it's own government and the central banks and corporations that controll it.
FU. You are the evil that has descended on our country.
Sorry, Steve, but the Corporations and Banks ARE doing a lot of damage to America. They need to be stopped just as badly as al-queda. WalMart probably ruins more lives with their low-wages and exploitative manufacturing than al-queda ever DREAMED of doing.
How does he get the food out of his beard? Or does he save it for another meal?
That's the only way he can get a woman, she eats the crumbs out of his beard.lol
what is wrong with letting the stongest and smartest people of the earth win the evolutionary wave of progress?
why support the evolutionary dead ends and weak gene pools?
why?
because it is'nt fair or is it because you're squeemish and weak yourself?
here is an example of NSA BS (mind-control)

I would like the entire population of these stone aged and arab people and the whole of the african continent wiped off the face of the earth then the advanced cultures of the world could move forward maybe., just maybe if we get rid of the false two party party system.,aka dog and pony show for the dumed down
Dumed down?That's ironic.
I believe it's spelled 'dumbed down' Mr. Genius. Learn to spell if you wish to be taken even half-seriously.
I think whenever CNN posts a picture of this little weasel they should modify it to show him standing behind a hotdog wagon. I think it would be more fitting.
well he is living in a sh it hole, promoting killing and the quran, except the quran never talked about the internet, nor modern communications so that shows everyone how orthodox they really are, they arent all they want is to kill people and power
Or behind the counter at the Quickie-Mart.
Instead of hunting Snowden who just told us, what we already knew or suspected, I find this leak much more serious. It is definitely aiding two very dangerous terrorists. They now know for sure which of their phonenumbers are compromised, and when they change their way of communicating an important source of information is lost. Who leaked these details, maybe even a senator or a member of congress ? He or she is much more irresponsible than snowden.
we got a drone with Zwahiris name on it. just a matter of time...
Chicken! All he has is a bow and arrow. Americans with all the high tech will never succeed. This guy is one smart cookie. Let's see what he plans to blow up?
Snowden solidifies conspiracies of surveillance... Admin states they have wanted the conversation... People ask questions... Admin gives no answer... People get upset... Admin says OH LOOK! SHINY!... People turn and desperately search for evidence of Terror... Admin *Phew* *Burns Evidence*... People say now back to the point... Admin says what are you talking about?
When are we going to find this POS?
Abbotabad, Pakistan => Next to Army Barracks => Possibly next to house of the Pakistani Army Chief
got swarmed by racists today causing more security risks after a total stranger called me by name after asking how this person knew me no real reason given then I said "big-brother" and out of the woodwork come a bunch of racists to invade my personal space two times a racist so six times in the span of 2 minutes and 20 yards-
uhhh... what? Punctuation. Look it up!
Funny how those threats began under the Clinton Administration with the World Trade Center attack in 1993 and the bombing of the USS Cole in 2000. Whose the moron now?
--
Eight years – now there is an intelligent correlation.
"whose the moron"? Classic. (*who's)
How about learning spelling & grammar, Mr. Intelligent Correlation. (Whose?) Or else spare us.
Can we Zero Dark Thirty his #ss next????
lets just drone em all
Find his bunker, smoke him out .... send in the drones
I will sleep better tonight knowing that Chuck Hagel is on full alert....OK, as a full alert as he can get. I expect to see Lois Lerner in full combat garb guarding IRS headquarters. Is anyone surprised that this should pop up now? The Obama needs something to get the Scandals du Jour off the front page. Another Obama hoax? I sure hope so, if it was real wouldn't he be delegating it to Biden to resolve? FYI Obama will be on Leno Tuesday so I'm sure he will add depth and clarification to this story.
@Jack Hollis- Are you sayin` that Clinton had no knowledge of direct threat by AQ? What about the Cole and other acts of terroism by AQ.
Yep! There's the good old New York Times – right in the forefront of questionable journalistic ethics! When that "newspaper" folds, there should be loud cheering from all sectors!
Unfortunately for you, Der Angriff is no longer being published. A shame because you'd have loved it.
..Snowden is tellig all...and they are panicing because they can no longer cover up American foriegn policy atrocities.

Ed is living in Vladimir Putin's Russia as a house guest. Are you an American anymore?
the best kind of American ...the kind that is for freedom of the people and not freedom for American oil companies to pilage foriegn lands and then use they American government and military as a strong arm.
Henry David Thorough spoke about civil protest and spent time in jail, and Martin Luther King spent time in jail to protect the dignity of human beings. Snowdon is in Vladimir Putin's Russia enjoying vodka and caviar, and who knows what else. What a great hero for the the libertarian right. This is all you have, losers?
USA cant kill all the terrorists in the world. no one can. the only sensible and possible thing US can do to save its future is to not allow these people enter US on name of asylum or studies or visitor or illegally. If US can do this then it can make sure future of its citizens will be secured. because a country can be harmed most from inside when the enemies becomes part of the system. like they are doing in countries like India today. so i wish american authorities realize the bigger threat they have and react in time.
"The official declined to identify the units or their locations because of the sensitive nature of the information." Why would a fellow American even ask? Oh, because it's the media. As long as they get people's attention, who cares who's at risk. Right CNN, and "other media, including the New York Times and McClatchy"?
The full text of the intercepted message from Zawahiri goes as such: "I'm tired of watching you guys just sit around on your a**. I want you to get up and do something constructive like get a job"
Al Quaeda have been given a huge amount of u.s /nato/ EU arms over the past 2 years, they really should be able to destroy a number of embassies! We've all seen the kind of weaponry they've been given on TV, but bet they'll just end up with a wet squib and waste their chance and unfortunately only kill a few innocent bystanders
Wasn't that Mitt RobMe? I'm pretty sure he said something like that to %47 of the US population, ya know, right before he lost the election?
@poanjb67- FYI, the 911 hijackers came into the country when Clinton was president and the whole plan was hatched and developed during his presidency. Why didn`t Clinton do anything?
More likely than not smith, the C.I.A. never told him anything about it. Even Pres. Truman complained about the C.I.A. doing things behind his back in the early 1950's and so did JFK when he learned the truth behind the 1963 coup d'etat in South Vietnam in which both Pres. Ngo Dihn Diem and his brother Ngo Dihn Nhu were murdered.
80% if not more of the BS posted by CNN and the US government is in fact a lie to keep the sheeple in line. now run sheep and hide under your bed so Obama can get the NSA to take some more of your privacy and rights away. Straight out of hitlers play book, just like Hitler did it to Germany and Europe.
Well said obama is a liar, well said.
Still pouting about the election, are we, kids? Too bad. You think you're sad & mad *now*? Wait a while.
another drama has begin 🙂 plz stop making people fool, last 10years are not enough to support American economy ?
Drama is under process that's why you have used ( SOMETHING).
Wow.. it seems that now Al-Qaida controls our foreign affairs.. One message and we will close our embassies...
Plus why does this have to be public information.. Let Al-Qaida think we don't know about their plans.. What a stupid way to run war on terror!!!
Just like UBL. Line'em up. Knock'em down!
this guy poses no threat to us ...this is clearly an attempt to justiy the ridiculous amount of espionage that america has been angaged in on the rest of the world...Snowden is tellig all...and they are panicing because they can no longer cover up American foriegn policy atrocities.
If all AQ has to do is put together a credible plot in order to shut down embassies all over the mideast and put the USA in a defensive crouch, then AQ has already won a huge victory. The purpose of terrorism is to frighten you into changing your behavior. Mission accomplished, AQ. You've done it again. The USA has bowed before your tactics yet again. What I would have preferred is to see the USA announce the plot and then to tell the world that, even though it's citizens might be murdered, even though its embassies might be attacked, no official will change their behavior and those who are too afraid will be allowed to return home forthwith, but no embassy or consulate will close in the face of threats. As it is now, AQ knows that all it has to do is assemble a genuine-seeming plot and voila!
I know, right. It would be nice to see where every time one of these clowns opens his yapper to threaten us, we just take him out. SO SICK of all of this religious rhetorical horse-hockey!
No big deal here. Some "suspected drones" will take out some "suspected terrorists" in some "suspected drone strikes". Nobody will need even to confirm those strikes. Supporters of those terrorists will whine and complain. Nobody will care or have any sympathy for those losers (only Muslims will care). Less terrorists will breed less terrorists. Nobody expected this problem to be solved in a short time. There is no downside for the western world since they can use drones. Losers on the other hand will have to continue whining for some time to come (perhaps for a few generations).
here, here
So true. Send these idiots on to meet allah.
In other words just wait for another Benghazi.
There simple threats managed to make us close 22 foreign embassies. With out lifting a single finger, they've managed to make use react and take action against their so far.... idle threats.
Let's all hope that the C.I.A. doesn't stage any of these so-called "attacks" in order to give the right-wing politicians in Washington credibility, Dave. If nothing happens in light of these "threats" purportedly made by Al Qaeda, these jerks may well lose their credibility with the general public!!!
this guy is a liar.
So who cares about this guy. He comes out and says, "durka durka mohamed jiha" and we jump.
If we had done all this stuff prior to 9/11 9/11 may not have happened but look who we had at the helm in the WH then. MOTRUS......Moron of The United States!!!
Funny how those threats began under the Clinton Administration with the World Trade Center attack in 1993 and the bombing of the USS Cole in 2000. Whose the moron now?
George Bush....Is still the idiot...
241 marines.. 1983.. reagan.. educate yourself.
Funny, the US Navy did not secure its perimeter and it is Clinton's fault.
Iran-Contra, TOW missiles, Sadaam, Mujahideen, Stinger missiles, Iran-Iraq war; get it?
1991 Iraq-Kuwait war, stationing US troops in Saudi Arabia, bombing of US Air Force barracks in Saudi Arabia., and supporting with money and weapons of a rogue terrorist state in Pakistan.
Providing SAM missiles to Saudi Arabia. Occupying Mecca, arming Israel with conventional and nuclear weapons, providing money, military occupation of seized land, and so forth. But it is all Obama's fault.
Heck, it's Clinton's and Obama's fault. Reagan and the the two Bushes had nothing to do with it.
