Graham says 'enemy combatant' can be tried in civilian court

By Ashley Killough and Gregory Wallace

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the suspect in federal custody for the Boston Marathon bombing, should be considered an enemy combatant only for interrogation purposes, not so he can be tried in a military tribunal, Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday.

"He is not eligible for military commission trial," the Republican senator from South Carolina said on CNN's "State of the Union." Graham argued Tsarnaev should be tried in a civilian trial in federal courts.

I was thinking more on the line's of the old but effective firing squad as a cost effective way of dispatching these terrorist. Hanging a person properly takes up to much time. Also, if you get the rope measurments wrong the head pops off and becomes a real mess. Firing squads are faster and more humane.

I agree with "USMC1371." It's time the process for dealing with these terrorist without haste because "haste makes waste." I believe in saving money and peoples time. I suggest gather info if possible, then send them on their way to the after life. Happy trails!

Good grief USMC1371, will you cut it out with that right-wing lynch mob mentality? This clown Lindsey Graham is out to make a name for himself as he exploits this kind of mentality currently sweeping this country!!!

You want to pay for his trial out of your pocket? Their is no question that he is guilty so why waste resources on him? Use him to gather information then carry out punishment. Its not a mob-mentality its common sence that he is not worth our time.

I got a better idea lets not send Syria a dime and use it to put him on trial, feed, and house him in prison for the rest of his miserable life. Or we could hang him in public for the world to see what happens ti those that attack America.

@usmc1371,my sediments exactly, just like in ancient Rome crucifieing their captives for all the world to see..Or better yet decapitate them and let their heads remind all we take no prisoners and yes justice here is swift and painful!!Only the faceless, nameless are terrorists because most of them die with their bombs going out as martyrs in an explosion of glory, but only to they themselves are these extremists called heroes!!
