Cyberthreats getting worse, House intelligence officials warn

By Ashley Killough

The highest-ranking officials on the House intelligence committee continued to warn Sunday of the increasing cybersecurity threat to the U.S. economy and national security.

Republican Rep. Mike Rogers, the committee's chairman, spelled out the different levels of cyberattacks during an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union" and cautioned that the worst of those – a debilitating hit by a terrorist group - could become reality.

"We know that terrorists, non-nation states, are seeking the capability to do a cyberattack. They're probably not there yet," he said, sitting next to the ranking member on the committee, Democratic Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger.

re;"cry wolf", sorry but thats just not true, extensive and very lucrative cyber attacks really started getting notice in 03,some payed attention[The US mostly], some did not,, rest assured, this is very real and it is not the "usual suspects",..certain criminal groups are engaged in cyber espionage[selling stolen data].We said this in 03;"wake up! slap slap!", do so! before we, all of us, wind up living in crimworld, and not just crimland,It is no game and thatsa fact Jack!,..,

The US has an entire division worth of it's Armed Forces dedicated to OFFENSIVE Cyber Attacks. If the US is prepared to award medals to drone pilots and virtual warriors, then by virtual detection hasn't the US already started cyber war campaigns against IRAN and North Korea? With the Moussad performing partnered assainations with the CIA on Iranian nuclear scientists, there's already a clandestine ground war being waged. The US Government cannot cry about an increase in cyber attacks against it after launching the virtual "1st strike" against other nations. The Qur'an: Surat Al-'Aĥzāb: O' you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when armies came to attack you and We sent upon them a wind and armies of angels you did not see. And ever is Allah , of what you do, Seeing.

Has anyone here heard of the story of the boy who cried "wolf" until nobody believed him anymore? The American people need to wise up and quit believing these right-wing clowns in Washington with their never ending scare tactics. We've been attacking the Russians, Chinese, Iranians and God knows how many others long before we received any of these threats ourselves!!!
