BREAKING NEWS: FBI team at Benghazi site

By Barbara Starr

The FBI has sent an investigative team to the site of last month's deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi, Libya, a senior administration official told CNN Thursday.

Arriving late Wednesday and working through Thursday, the team examined the outpost, located in the city of Benghazi, the official said.

A U.S. military security force accompanied the FBI team to the site and provided security for them as they traveled there. Officials said it was an indication of the ongoing security concerns in the region.

The September 11 consulate attack killed U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.

The incident fueled increased global scrutiny of the North African nation, led by a government that toppled dictator Moammar Gadhafi last year.

It also sparked political debate over whether the Obama administration has been forthcoming about its understanding of events.

The FBI visit to Benghazi had been stalled for more than three weeks because of security concerns at the site.

FBI and military officials have said they would need proper military protection in case of another attack on the U.S. Consulate.

The official described the support as both visible and more covert, suggesting the use of intelligence assets to monitor communications and the surrounding areas. The military team was "relatively small," the official said.

There's a lesson to be learned here- do not interfere with the internal strife of other countries! Do not interfere with Syria, Jordan or any other country. Egypt's Sinai desert is now a haven for Al Quaida, human and drug smugglers, terrorist training camps, none of which existed before, Libya is in unbelievable turmoil with a very weak central government,, Tunisia, etc.are all a mess.
Libya did not allow the FBI to reach Benghazi to investigate for weeks. The crime scene is completely compromised-so much for helping the Libyans. They are now overrun with militias who are worse than Khadaffi.
Obama has been less than honest re: the murder of the ambassador. This was a planned attack. Once again he shows how weak and uninformed he is, making apologetic speeches to the Middle East terrorists.

Every time we entered Muslim countries, we made mess. Muslim countries are better off with their own army dictators. former army dictators Qaddafi, Assad, Saddam, Arafat, Mubarak were the right people to rule the Middle East, and Musharraf was the right dictator to handle masses of illiter ate, fun damentalists in Pakistan.

Just exactly what is this going to prove anyway? We'll most probably never know who attacked the U.S. Consulate back on Sept. 11. Besides, what was the U.S. ambassador doing in Benghazi anyway? In fact, we should have never taken over Libya but left it in the hands of Mohammar Qaddaffy!!!

      • Hmm..

Considering the lies out of the White House Administration, 4 people dead, and the ongoing "We won't know for a while" I would think we can see how important this is to Obama. CNN had pictures on Anderson Cooper of the Building, and witness reports on TV, as well as the leader of Lybia Mohammed Magarief telling us it was an attack – what more do we really need to know. And the recovery of the Ambassadors diary that he felt in "danger" and it was 9/11. Oh and of course 3 days before they were warned of an impending attack.
Like our soldiers in Afghanistan, Obama does not care to know the truth. He was in Vegas baby.

Take the computer you're using to type on and throw it out the window, when you're this stupid you don't need to express your thoughts.

The feds cant tell us what information was lost. However, I can guarantee that whatever was lost was sensitive information, and is now in the hands of the enemy. This has the serious potential of causing much more harm than people realize. Thanks Obama!!
