Panetta: U.S. running out of patience with Pakistan
U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta warned Thursday that the United States was "reaching the limits of our patience" with Pakistan over militants that attack U.S. forces in neighboring Afghanistan from havens within its borders.
"It's extremely important that Pakistan take action to prevent this kind of safe haven," he said during an unannounced visit to Kabul, and that militants cannot use the country as a "safety net" from which to attack U.S. soldiers.
"We have made that very, very clear time and time again, and we will continue to do that," he said.

As an Indian partriot i would like to offer my hearfelt apologies to Pakistanis for India's role in misinforming US Troops in Afghanistan with the intent of using them to kill innocent and unsuspecting Pakistani troops. These troops had a few days earlier shared operational codes with them to fight the terroirsts at the border. I am ashamed of my countrymen. This backstabbing by my fellow Indians is inexcusable.
I have visited India several times to set up the fencing and surveillance system along border. Let me tell you Indians are among the most untrustworthy people on this globe. Never believe them. I refused to take my family with me. These indians are thankless and will stab you in the back the first chance they get. My camera, computer and sun glasses were stolen from my hotel room (5 star !!!). I was pickpocketed in the cloth bazaar. The food I ate at a decent restaurant gave me cramps that lasted for days. Apparenlty they served me dog meat instead of kosher lamb. Very bd experience.

The issue between USA and Pakistan is not one of apology or transit costs or of Haqqanis. The underlying problem is that India is using USA to muscle Pakistan as quid pro quo for USA using India to do janitorial work against China. At the end of the day Pakistan and India cannot coexist peacefully. Ultimately, there will be a nuclear war with India and there will be only one nation left standing which in my view will be Pakistan. Pakistan Zindabad.
I do not believe that at this point a US apology will be enough for Pakistanis. Also, USA cannot reimburse Pakistan enough for transit costs. At this point USA needs to find an alternate route..period.

It appears to me that Indians are hiding behind American skirts and using Americans as messengers vis a vis Pakistan. The apology of USA to Pakistan for the unprovoked massacre of Pakistani soldiers is imminent. As you all will recall, the Afghani and Indian valets assigned to US forces, mischievously and deliberately, conveyed wrong information to them and used them to wrongfully murder these soldiers.
As far as Pakistan-USA relations are concerned there are none and both countries need to move on in different directions. They have not been able to develop friendship in 60 years. The biggest favor that USA can do for Pakistan is to stop all reimbursements/aid. Pakistan should stand on its feet. With the right leadership this can be achieved in 9 months.
With respect to Pakistan being responsible for all things bad happening in the neighborhood, USA is being disingenuous. If Pakistan was so influential it should be given a seat as a permanent member of UN Security Council.

The Abhinav Bharat (Pride of India), the Rashtriya Jagran Manch (National Revival Forum), the Sri Ram Sene (Army of god Rama), the Hindu Dharam Sena (Army for Hindu Religion) and the Sanatan Sanstha (Eternal Organization) have launched numerous violent attacks on Christian and Muslim minorities.

The American invasion of Afghanistan brought to the forefront the irrelevance of India as a nation. With a population of over 1.2 billion people there was no value that this nation could bring to the table. Their soldiers (ragtag) 1.2million continue hiding in the trenches scared from Talibans. A few teenage Talibans invaded the country and held it hostage for days on end showing how useless India is. It was embarrasing for the world to observe this humiliation of a nation that was being touted as a regional power. The Talibans brought them down in a few days with some BB guns. It is all over for India. Its demise is in process and should be completed with Afghanistan withdrawal.
