"Hill"arious: Hillary Clinton embraces parody site

By Elise Labott

Hillary Clinton can often be found on the road checking her BlackBerry. When Moammar Gadhafi was caught by Libyan rebels last year, she was captured on tape receiving the news on her BlackBerry.

Now, the new online sensation, "Texts from Hillary" Tumblr, imagines what the secretary of State is chatting about.

The blog, which recently went viral, features photos of Clinton on her BlackBerry with imagined conversations over text between the secretary and various politicians and other notables, also shown in photos using their phones.

This week Stacy Lambe and Adam Smith, creators of the blog, got an unexpected text from Clinton.

"sup Adam. nice selfie Stace :-)" the "text" from Clinton reads, printed over a photo of a sunglasses-clad Hillary Clinton glued to her BlackBerry while aboard a C-17 plane to Libya.

Lambe and Smith's replies, posted over pictures of the two texting, reads "omg...busted" and "sry Hillz."

During Clinton's own imagined conversation, she pokes fun at herself and the blog, using text-message acronyms.

"ROFL @ ur tumblr!" Clinton . "g2g – scrunchie time. ttyl?" [TRANSLATION: Got to go – scrunchie time. Talk to you later?"]

Smith posted Clinton's submission via Twitter, along with the caption, "I just met Secretary Clinton. She loves the site. Pictures to come. Here's her post she autographed."

Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines said Clinton has enjoyed the site and wanted to meet the brains behind the project and submit her own post. She invited them to her office, where she presented Lambe and Smith with their own personalized copy.

As proof of her submission, she posed for a picture with Lambe and Smith in her suite of offices to accompany the post.

People love her so much! Hillary Clinton embraces parody site! So what how is this news? I would have respected her more if she
stood up for herself and all women that have been cheated on and left her husband. That’s what leaders do!

Not real sure about that. Found out she, along with Bill, the Bush's and Obama support efforts by the UN to end gun ownership, the Constitution, and the US, in favor of one world government run by the UN. Need some clarity from Hillary here.

How's Hillary's health? She usually does not look well. Even when she was running for President, her journalist friends never brought up the subject of her health.

Yea, no kidding! Whenever I return from a doctor's appointment and someone asks, "What did the doctor say?" I like to reply, "He said I am going to die. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but some day."

So, now CNN is going the way of Newsweek (Tina Brown) and their imaginary story of "what if Diana had lived?" Newsweek fabricated conversations, Facebook, and Tweets by Lady Diana in the most creepy of all faux-journalism. Now, CNN is fabricating Blackberry texts by Secretary Clinton??? God help us! Are there any REAL journalists available anymore? It's no wonder that the American people don't seem to actually know the facts when our news agencies offer nothing but garbage!

Did you notice that people have made comments as if these fabricated text messages were real? What kind of world do we live in?

Huh? I also wonder what kind of world we live in, but in a strange twist of fate, YOU are the reason I'm concerned about it. Not the reporting of some tumblr blog.

No we didn't. She had the most popular votes; the electoral votes did us in. And that's wrong.

It was amusing once upon a time when I shorthanded text to dodge virtual bullets and the like second by second, now I find such writing incredibly annoying.

This is all very well and good, but it is time to restrict the Syrian tanks to their camps. Previously, I felt we should only take action in concert with the Arab League and the UN. They are dithering. It is time for us to take action now. It will serve two purposes: 1) relieve some of the pressure on the civilians in Syria, and 2) put Iran on notice that military action is not limited to 'popular' wars. Come on Hillary.
