STA Travel, on most British city high streets, has an nmaaoly in their insurance: all countries bordering the Mediterranean are lumped together in the lowest-cost category. This works for Egypt, Lebanon and Syria, and equally Israel/Palestine, but not Jordan or Iran.

John McCain's "claim to fame" was he got shot down in North Vietnam. There were over 700 POW's, name another. He was a pilot, a bad one at that having crashed at least 3 jets before his POW days. He never commanded more than 200 men. Generals and Admirals draw up war plans. Not the rank of Commander John McCain. For reasons I don't believe anyone knows, he's become some de facto military genius in many eyes, it's just not so. As for the so-called "surge" in Iraq, anytime you beef up a skeleton army it has an effect. Adding 35,000 in Iraq was of course going to help. Lee could have used more at Gettysburg. McCain picked Palin who knew nothing and he once again spouts off as if he's some military stratigest, something else he knows nothing about. Hey John, have your wife buy you a jet and YOU go on a bombing mission. You've been out of the Navy over 30 years and were never in a planning session beyond your squadron.

Leave it to McCain and the Republican party to want to start another war in a 3rd world country. Lets borrow more money and give the top 1% a tax break so we can bomb Syria. But lets let Iran have a nuclear weapon and let North Korea do whatever they want because they might acually be able to fight back.
