Pakistan has not yet decided on whether or not to try a Pakistani doctor for high treason for assisting the U.S. in gathering intelligence ahead of the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound in May 2011 that resulted in his death, a senior Pakistani gov’t official tells CNN.
Dr. Shakeel Afridi helped the CIA use a vaccination campaign to collect DNA samples from residents of bin Laden's compound to verify the terror leader's presence there. Pakistan, which expressed its anger over the raid without consulting Pakistani authorities, has held Afridi in custody since May of 2011.
The Pakistan official speaking to CNN on this matter doesn’t want to be named because of the sensitivity of the subject. He adds the following:
Regarding the commission in charge of probing the OBL raid who on Oct. 6, 2011 recommended treasons charges against Dr. Shakeel Afridi, the Sr. Pakistani official adds:
I saw the documentary on this. It was very interesting.
The seals should have blown this one away also....
for the last three days i have seen these reminders of who got bin laden and again , & again , & again i thank you pres obama for giving the order for the brave honourable team 6 to act against the target. who gave up the doc's id ? who released the doc's involvement ? why was not the doc taken out of pakistan ? can we see pic's of the doc ? can we see pic's of dead bin laden ? to all the above questions is NO ! please enough with the reminders white house we all know pres obama gave the order .
Ahhh, don't worry. I'm sure their taking good care of this guy. Obama wouldn't let anything happen to a friend of the US.
more reminders from the white house that pres obama is the one that caught bin laden . i do not think that this has anything to do with concerns about the doc. why was the doc left behind ? who released the doc's involvement ? who released the doc's name ? that you team 6 for your brave honour. yes once again pres obama thank you for giving the order. for a covert opp it is too bad the doc;s id was realsed !
He's only guilty of making the Pakistan military look incompetent.
First they must prove that the doctor knew he was working for a foreign agency.
Then they must prove that the doctor knew that helping to reveal the location of Bin Laden was against Pakistan's National Interest.
Not if you go by Gitmo Rules.
A consumer is a hpopser who is sore about something. Nowadays shopping has become a trend and people buy different products and give it to their loved ones on different occasions.
So Osama fell for the old "you're overdue for your tetanus booster" ploy? Brilliant.
