Zakaria: Calling out Pakistan’s dangerous game

Editor's Note: Tune in Sunday at 10a.m. ET/PT to watch Fareed Zakaria's full interview with Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Michael Mullen and Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar.

By Fareed Zakaria, CNN

In his last official statement as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Michael Mullen chose to publicly highlight the connections between the Pakistani military and the Haqqani network, one of the most deadly terror groups operating in Afghanistan. What Adm. Mullen said in public this week is something many U.S. government officials have felt privately for years.  The question is: Why did Mullen feel it was necessary to speak publicly now?

Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss. It appears that our eletced officials are just the hapless fools of the super rich. Interestingly, I think the line for the top tax rate cut off was set at 250k or the top 1.5% that only makes 5 times the U.S. average is because when you move up just another half percent you find that the lowest paid person in the top 1% makes 13,000 times as much as the average American. They can buy any government they want.

Surprised? Don't be!! The most significant contributor to Islamic terrorism is Pakistan, where the dictatorial government of these Muslims are Salafist....some of the most devoted and worse practicing Muslims our earth produces. Pakistan's mosques and madrassas have manufactured more actual terrorists than an arm pit like Saudi Arabia.

They are responsible for the Taliban – the fundamentalist regime associated with al-Qaeda. Taliban chief Mullah Omar was educated in the Binori Mosque Madrassa in Karachi. The head of Pakistan's ISI intelligence service, Lt. General Mahmoud Ahmad, not only provided the funds, arms, and direction to the Taliban, he and they provided direct wire transfers to Muhammad Atta, the 9/11 ringleader, immediately before he murdered 3,000 Americans. Pakistan is the home of Ramzi Yousef and Khalid Shaikh Muhammad, the men many believe conceived the first and second World Trade Center bombings.

That’s right, there were TWO Islamic attacks (1993 and 2001) on the World Trade Center by…wait for it…wait for it…"good" MUSLIMS!

Well said Admiral! The ISI shakes our hand , while their other hand hidden behind their back shakes terrorists. Stop all funding to Pakistan, increase drone attacks, increase Special Forces ground troops, CIA/ SAD, put the pressure on these crooks. This country is more corrupt than Mexico and Afghanistan combined. Makes me sick!
