By Catherine E. Shoichet

The United States calls them "dangerous insurgents."

But Afghan authorities say they don't have enough evidence to keep the 65 prisoners behind bars.

Abdul Shukor Dadras, head of the Afghan Review Board, said Afghanistan's attorney general ordered the prisoners' release from Bagram prison after a careful review of 88 cases.

I thought the US was about rights and the reason why the US doesn't allow for US troops to be arrested, tried, and imprisoned in Afghanistan (among other nations) is because we worry about them getting a fair trial. Here we have people saying that there is not enough evidence (thus trial isnt fair if convicted) yet we want them to disregard the rule of law because we want them to. This is further proof of the hypocrisy of Americans.

Releasing these men is the right thing to do regardless of how much the right-wingers in Washington rant against it. 85% of these guys never did anything but be in the wrong place at the wrong time as in Gitmo!!!

America is the root of all terror. America has invaded sixty countries since world war 2.
In 1953 America overthrow Iran's democratic government Mohammad Mosaddegh and installed a brutal dictator Shah. America helped Shah of Iran to establish secret police and killed thousands of Iranian people.
During Iran-Iraq war evil America supported Suddam Hossain and killed millions of Iranian people. In 1989, America, is the only country ever, shot down Iran's civilian air plane, killing 290 people.
In 2003,America invaded Iraq and killed 1,000,000+ innocent Iraqi people and 4,000,000+ Iraqi people were displaced.
Now America is a failed state with huge debt. Its debt will be 22 trillion by 2015.

*hand salute* from a U.S. Navy veteran. No insult intended, but I think your comment may be too cerebral for narrow minded individuals to understand. Your insightful world view reflects a balance and objectivity that is all too lacking in our society.

Our newsteam here at WUSA9 News plan to lobby Congres in getting American troops to retaliate against Afghanistan by kidnapping the children and elderly of the intruders and force them to strip nude and say the words "PRESIDENT OBAMA IS MY PERSONAL GOD AND PROPHET" and their nude bodies will be posted on the internet along with their social security numbers and personal information so that they will be domiciled to our American programs here in Washington, D.C. and that is good news. This way the good innocent people will learn our good American rules and regulations. Tis is Obama's plan to get American troops to invade the homes of al-Qaeda terrorists and clean out their bank accounts so the money will pay for military training here in America. We believe in martial law because it is justice.

You have spread your Anti American propaganda from Europe on every CNN blog for months. What's your problem?

He has the same problem that I do, aurelius. Neither one of us like the greedy, self serving, money grubbing politicians in Washington. Besides, have you any notion as to why we're the most hated nation on earth today? I think not.
