The Iran nuclear deal: full text

The following is the full text of the nuclear deal between Iran and six world powers:

Joint Plan of Action

Preamble

The goal for these negotiations is to reach a mutually-agreed long-term comprehensive solution that would ensure Iranˈs nuclear program will be exclusively peaceful. Iran reaffirms that under no circumstances will Iran ever seek or develop any nuclear weapons. This comprehensive solution would build on these initial measures and result in a final step for a period to be agreed upon and the resolution of concerns. This comprehensive solution would enable Iran to fully enjoy its right to nuclear energy for peaceful purposes under the relevant articles of the NPT in conformity with its obligations therein. This comprehensive solution would involve a mutually defined enrichment program with practical limits and transparency measures to ensure the peaceful nature of the program. This comprehensive solution would constitute an integrated whole where nothing is agreed until everything is agreed. This comprehensive solution would involve a reciprocal, step-by step process, and would produce the comprehensive lifting of all UN Security Council sanctions, as well as multilateral and national sanctions related to Iranˈs nuclear program.

International sanctions are what brought the Iranians to the table to begin with. Remember that prior to Iran's pain resulting from these sanctions they stubbornly refused to give full access to inspectors. They made harsh statements and threats to and about Israel and the West. This new Iranian president has worked against the west in the past...and one might say he was doing his job doing it for his country, but remember that someone in charge seriously felt he was the man to do it. Now going back to the fact that they have now come to the negotiating table. There is a reason for it other than our sanctions. They will reduce enrichment to no more than 5%. Their research and development programs regarding enrichment and implementation will continue. These things will need to be monitored vigorously and impartially. It occurs to me that the sanctions that Iran has felt has made their ability to carry out continued R&D difficult. The easing of these sanctions will allow them to stockpile money they seriously need to continue these programs even if they programs themselves are being reduced according to the deal. I believe Iran has come to the table not only because of sanctions but because they have put into place some means for sustaining their program safe from international eyes. It does not escape me that the Obama administration while failing horribly with the Obamacare campaign will try to levy this deal as a success of the administration to deflect attention from Obamacare. I will say this though...If the administration is serious about making this a real success, then they need to follow through on ensuring this deal with Iran is complied with and dealt with according to American and international standards. Iran must be held accountable for any and all violations. I also feel that any state that helps them should be dealt with as well. Obviously that is assuming that the Obama administration is being genuine. Let's hope Iran is as well.

I am not a forseer of the future, but looking at the details of the nuclear agreement, it looks sensible on paper. Hope everyone involved understands what an agreement is.

America is the root of all terror. America has invaded sixty countries since world war 2.
In 1953 America overthrow Iran's democratic government Mohammad Mosaddegh and installed a brutal dictator Shah. America helped Shah of Iran to establish secret police and killed thousands of Iranian people.
During Iran-Iraq war evil America supported Suddam Hossain and killed millions of Iranian people. In 1989, America, is the only country ever, shot down Iran's civilian air plane, killing 290 people.
In 2003,America invaded Iraq and killed 1,000,000+ innocent Iraqi people and 4,000,000+ Iraqi people were displaced.
Now America is a failed state with huge debt. Its debt will be 22 trillion by 2015.

USA spend billions of dollars each year in the search for creatures in space or aliens but I firmly believe that the American government will corrupt them, make them slaves, and impose sanctions on them after finding them. Why are you searching the the universe when you cannot respect the lives of the people on earth?

All this stupid talk about suitcase nuclear bombs etc and attacking the US is rather naive. Iran knows perfectly well our massive second strike (retaliatory) capability would completely destroy their nation's infrastructure forever and quash any dreams of their being a power player in the Middle East. The same goes for a first strike on the Isralis which would force us to retaliate in kind (as would Israel). The war of words between the Isralis, Iran and the Saudis is just that ....words and political posturing. If Iran is willing to change their political strategies and it doesn't include nuclear weapons, then this accord should be allowed to go forward!

There is no reason for Iran to build their own nuclear bomb. They can easily order one or ten from Pakistan! Or call Russia. Russia has thousands of nukes they no longer need. Surely some corrupt Russian will sell you a few dozen!
Realistically, Iran can have all the nukes they want in a week. No need to build them from scratch!
Israel has nukes, courtesy of the USA but will not disclose what they have.

You're an idiot. Just because a country has nukes doesnt mean it will sell them. There'd be massive repercussions if confirmed. Russia and Pakistan wouldn't risk that. I don't understand how people can be so ignorant. Pop culture isnt life. Just coz we've grown up for decades being told that russia, iran, etc are the enemy and are all out to get us doesnt make it so. Americans have romanticized about WW2 and the Revolution for so long they want to experience it themselves, and will create enemies out of anyone so they can pretend they live in a similar time. When in truth its nothing like it at all. The US is the most power nation in the history of the world, we are not the underdogs, we are not knights in shining armor. We use our strength to bully nations to get economic and strategic benefits. We don't use it to protect people. You need to get over yourselves and stop living in la la land.

Iran detonates a working weapon in NYC. Later says, "Hey, we did have a working plutonium weapon after all." Oh well, you lose.

How would that ever happen idiot. If Iran were to nuke anyone or give a nuke to anyone, it would be destroyed within a year. Having nukes doesnt make you untouchable, and using them first, DEFINITELY doesnt make you untouchable. People like you are either too stupid to understand this or are liars trying to scare the stupid people.

There is a big difference between saying "we are getting played" and warmongering.

There is also a big difference between supporting THIS deal, and wishful thinking of what life could be like with a good deal. The news is releasing polls like 2 to 1 Americans support THIS deal, when really 2 to 1 people would prefer a peaceful solution. This deal doesn't address the most likely route to the weapon. So while 2 to 1 Americans might support a deal that works 80% don't understand the science behind this to understand what the deal actually means. The vast majority of Americans don't know our history with iran, nor the middle east 1500 year history.
More over you disqualify your statement by passing judgement on anyone who disagrees with you by calling them ignorant. Any valid statement , all you need to do is say "there will be allot of people immediately bashing this deal" and if it is true then people can address their own opinions of the view. The simple fact you need to try to qualify your statement derogatorily disqualifies the statement .
Most lawmakers although they support trying to do this peacefully , publicly acknowledge that chances are we are being played. Nothing in this country happens bipartisanly , yet there is overwhelming bipartisan skepticism . Their possitions validated by them not immediately calling anyone who disagrees names.
