Western official: Iran nuclear deal may be imminent

By CNN's Jim Sciutto and Greg Botelho

Momentum appears to be building for a breakthrough deal on Iran's nuclear program, with top diplomats flocking to the site of ongoing talks and one Western official saying Friday a deal could be reached "as soon as tonight."

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and British Foreign Secretary William Hague will both be in Geneva on Saturday. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius headed to the Swiss city on Friday night, according to an European Union diplomatic source, and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has left Beijing for Geneva, according to his ministry's website.

Let's all hope that these talks here succeed. I'm so sick and tired of reading all these ignorant, anti-Iranian comments here. One would think that this website was some kind of Tea Party Convention, judging by the ignorant things these people say.

It is ironic that MUSLIM PRIESTS / CLERICS like Rouhani or the Ayatollahs are behind and in charge of ALL the weapons, army, threats, war, intimidation, violence, coercion and intimidation. It seems we are negotiating with SATAN's disciples. The root of the problem is the "Satanic Verses" of the Qu'ran and prophet Mohammed highly immoral, perverse, cruel and discriminatory conduct which are the role models of millions of brainless Muslims.. Unless there is A MASSIVE CONVERSION OF MUSLIMS TO CHRISTIANITY, nothing is going to change!

America is the root of all terror. America has invaded sixty countries since world war 2.
In 1953 America overthrow Iran's democratic government Mohammad Mosaddegh and installed a brutal dictator Shah. America helped Shah of Iran to establish secret police and killed thousands of Iranian people.
During Iran-Iraq war evil America supported Suddam Hossain and killed millions of Iranian people. In 1989, America, is the only country ever, shot down Iran's civilian air plane, killing 290 people.
In 2003,America invaded Iraq and killed 1,000,000+ innocent Iraqi people and 4,000,000+ Iraqi people were displaced.
Now America is a failed state with huge debt. Its debt will be 22 trillion by 2015.

If any "deal" is reached with Iran, Netanyahu will negate it if our Congress must approve it!!! Netanyahu controls our Congress, both houses, both sides of the isle!
Netanyahu cannot conceive the idea of peace. He sabotaged talks with the Palestinians and will continue to do so if talks ever resume. His bright idea of bull dozing more Palestinian homes one week before the first talks were to take place speaks loudly of his true intent. Netanyahu is a problem our Congress is going to have to deal with. Thankfully we have a president today who stands up to him! Congress just bows down and worships him as "god's chosen", and the source of big campaign checks!!!

, Iran has no interest in peace. Making deals with the devil will get you only one thing. War!! In all the history of the middle east, there has never been peace. Does anyone really think they want Nuclear Power to make Electricity ?? I think our leaders are far too naïve to believe that Iran wants nuclear power & peace too!!! Wise up! Everyone knows why they want it. They have one goal in mind. You heard them say so themselves..Isreal has no wright too exist according to Iran . Now they want a Nuclear Program. You really don't need a crystal ball do you????

The last time Iran attacked a country was when Americans had just won the Revolutionary War against Britain. Since then the US has attacked more than 30 countries around the world, and has been at war for 200 of its 232 years of existence. Iran has attacked zero. None. Nada. Iran did defend itself against an attack by Saddam Hussein in 1980, who was BACKED BY THE UNITED STATES.

Now talk to me about devils and angels.

Don't be too sentimental about your judgment of Iran. when have Iran ever attacked a nation to achieve it political interest? Never! How won't Israel raise an eyebrow against Iran's development because it is afraid that Iran could stand up to it's aggressive regime military if such an opportunity was to show up. I think the actual devil is the one who have always been waging war against the Palestinians, who lands they live upon.

Make a deal for peace and restore diplomatic credibility and a culture that fosters co-operation and cool-headedness. We are simply sick and tired of cheap brashness and offensiveness being carelessly and sadistically employed to resolve problems.

Unfortunately, peace is not on everyone's agenda. Certainly not Netanyahu's! He has been dreaming of the day our US military forces are out of Iraq and Afghanistan so they can be redeployed to wage Israel's war against Iran! Another "Shock and Awe"campaign is his true dream! Sorry Netanyahu, you had better learn how to live in peace with people you hate! Go bull doze more land, this is your choice. This is not someone who wants peace!

So what if Iran builds a nuclear bomb. They would certainly never use it against Israel nor anyone else. If they did, the US would turn Iran into a total wasteland. The old "cold war" ideas are long gone. Today it is about economics, not war!

Also good to see China getting involved. Nuclear war benefits no one. If we as a species are to continue living we need to be able to work together when it matters. Right now, it matters. If there is one thing Netanyaho (forgive spelling) was right about , it is if this fails it will fail spectacularly, but if you politicians can work together and present a united front against Iran and make it beyond clear if they overstep the agreement it will not be zionist or westerners but the world responding this might have a chance to work. But we are not here because of olive branches we are here because we obliterated their economy. If you make sure Iran knows the world just united against them (getting nukes) this might work.

Iran can build all the nuclear bombs they want. However, use just one and your country will cease to exist!
