Commander: U.S. to help train Libyan forces

By CNN's Barbara Starr and Joe Sterling

Libya and its fledgling security forces, overwhelmed by militia violence and unrest since the overthrow of dictator Moammar Gadhafi two years ago, are going to get some help from the U.S. military, a top American commander said.

Adm. William McRaven, head of the U.S. Special Operations Command, said Saturday the United States will train 5,000 to 7,000 conventional troops as well as counterterrorism forces.

    Bravo,

AIPAC (Jewish) control of American foreign policy in the Middle East has resulted in

a splendid dish of murder, mayhem and instability.

America ... Keep on re-electing your treasonous Congress!

Those IGNORANT fools!!! This is the VERY thing that Colonel Gaddafi WARNED the Libyan people about, and tried to protect them from. They had a stable, independent, prosperous country under his strong but benevolent leadership...a solid economy, free housing, free college education, free medical care, public safety and security, modern technology, generous oil stipends for all families...everything AND MORE that other modern nations enjoyed. He LOVED Libya and fought hard to stand against the hegemonic and imperialist aspirations of the West and those who wanted to bleed Libya like vampires.

As long as he lived and led, Libya was strong and autonomous...never needing to PLEAD LIKE BEGGARS for anything from greedy Western governments or thieving global corporate mafias. He kept the Islamist crazies at bay and protected his people from their psychotic influence.

And then they let the West_convince_them_to_sh!t_all_over_it_ by pulling down their own leader and turning their entire country over into the hands of an armed rabble of pathologically insane, murderous terrorists (mostly foreigners), who promptly dismantled and destroyed their ENTIRE state…….….transforming a once flourishing and thriving nation into a CESSPOOL of blood, chaos and filth, with Islamic madmen roving throughout the land and imposing their perverted rule on large sectors of the country.

Libyans were as monumentally STUPID as the man in the children's fable who "Killed the Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs." Or better still, the story about “The Greedy Dog Who Crossed the Bridge with a Bone in His Mouth.”

THEY DID THIS TO THEMSELVES AND THEY ARE GETTING JUST WHAT THEY DESERVE......The total evaporation and eradication of any sort of order or societal cohesion, let alone "democracy" or civility.

Muammar Gaddafi tried desperately to spare them from this fate, but instead, they brutally tortured and summarily murdered him before the eyes of the entire world….and now they are paying for it…..in spades.

Karma is a Big Bad B_!_T_C_H! Rest in Peace Gaddafi...the Lion of Africa.

ho cares china is soon to send a rover to the moon it will lift up at 11km/s with a escape velocity to escape earth’s gravity then it will travel 380000km to the moon the speed of light is 300000km/s and be captured by its gravity into a orbit then it will descend on to it the moon has 1/6 the gravity of earth because it has no iron nickel core and the rover will land on one of the seas of the moon maria not the highlands the first thing the Italian astronomer Galileo Galilee discovered was that the moon was covered by with white and black spots he discovered that the moon was not perfect round the Greeks thought that the moon was perfect round Aristotle had that theory but Galileo Galilee discovered the highlands and the seas on the moon. that the USA is going to train some people in Libya is not news its wasting peoples time to read this article also USA is a loser country and British people are also losers..

This goes to show that Libya has indeed become another U.S. satellite state in the Middle East! We can't even run Iraq as proven by the constant attacks there and now we're trying to take over Syria. This expansionist policy is both stupid and a drain on the U.S. treasury!!! We are we ever going to learn to keep our hands off the Middle East??????

Maybe overthrowing dictators hasn't been such a good idea! Today the countries of Libya, Iraq and Egypt are much worse off, economically. Their futures are very dim with their dictators gone! Is Syria next? All these countries had functioning economies. No one was starving, no one was fleeing to become refugees somewhere else. "Democracy" is not understood by the people, rule of law is completely absent, "elected" leaders are only profiteers and criminals. "Thanks so much for freedom"!
We all celebrated the fall of the Soviet Union. What is Russia today? Nothing less than the biggest dictatorship on earth! Nothing happens in Russia without Putin's personal stamp of approval. Holding elections does not create "democracy"!!

The way this is going, they chose factions to limit their involvement and appear friendly. They get guns and training from us. Then those same people go run AQ training camps. We are not only training the enemy, but we are training the enemy trainers. We have a few things they want. Tech. Science. Tactics. Offering any of these strategic commodities will achieve a temporary lul until they get what they need.
They manipulate the American desire to influence with minimal investment to get us to train and equip them. In the end we don't want to fight and they do. By the time we have to fight, when we have no choice, we will have built ourselves quite a competent army to fight. There might be people there who are pro freedom but they have no power and we don't target the elite decision makers. Not only can we not win how we are going, but we are making it that much more difficult to be able to when we finally change course.
