Rogers: Obama is losing support on Capitol Hill

By CNN's Ashley Killough

Rep. Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, wants to see Congress approve the president's pitch to take military action in Syria, but he said the administration has failed at wooing Capitol Hill.

"I think it's very clear he's lost support in the last week," the Michigan Republican said on CBS's "Face the Nation."

I say Obama and Al-Assad need to get together. They can use my backyard in South Carolina. I’ll cook up a Boston Butt put some beer on ice and they can discuss it. That Russian guy can come as well. If it can’t be decide over pig pick’en and beer it can’t get solved. I’ll even invite the English guy I don’t like the French guy so he can stay out of my yard.

Never mind the other 12 chemical attacks this year... THIS one is a 'legitimate attack' (legitimate r ape, legitimate attack sounds legit right?)
The other twelve times the syrians (notice I dont care who fired it ) used it didnt matter. THIS time it is important to send messages of disapproval in the form of rockets,
THIS time, the 13th chemical attack is the red line. It MATTERS if we do the same thing we did the other 12 times. If we do nothing this time, we have no hope. But the other 12 times we did nothing , never mind those , or the fact we are near positive atleast one of those 12 was the rebels.

THIS attack requires a reaction, soo much so we should provide al qaeda air support.

sarcasm off. If we could sit on our hands 12 other times we can sit on our hands now. If they do it again invade them and take the cw and kill the leaders of both sides. Simple, effective,

Worth mentioning if the def complex wants funding all they need to do is replace the senators and congressmen , Stop washington from holding budgets hostage by replacing washington not by providing al qaeda airsupport with my taxes.

Obama's mistake regarding the Sarin gas attack in Syria was he didn't take immediate action: “It’s better to explain your actions after they occur than to beg for permission.” It’s a way of life. It’s not about abusing situations but about knowing when to push the boundaries. It’s about knowing that the overwhelming number of people in life are naysayers and “no sayers” and sometimes you gotta just roll the dice and do what you think is right!

@Tony,he's only doing what's legitimate asking for congressional approval..Remember they approved Bushs lies after Colin Powell delivered them for a declaration of war and look where that led us too..If it weren't for todays electronic technology in getting news, media across vast distances of land we wouldn't know about what happens elsewhere would we..We are our own worst enemy and history proves it in sticking our nose in every other countrys business this being just another one of them!!I feel for the Syrian people but we here have problems of our own that have to be addresssed as well and while we're at it cut all foriegn aid as well ,Isreal included...

Fortunately Obama is not a "cowboy" President like GWB! GWB acted in hast with no real evidence of WMDs in Iraq! Surprise! None were found! His "shock and awe" solution only created bigger problems. "Mission accomplished' was a huge lie, on top of all his other lies! Thank God, Obama is not a "cowboy"! Let's make some sense of this, if Russia can get all of Syria's deadly gas under NATO control and destruction then "go for it"! The real problem is how much of this has been compromised and is in rebel hands. Nobody knows!

Obama's chickens have come home to roost; he is sleeping in the bed he made; what comes around goes around. However you want to say it Obama has been the most partisan president in US history – at the delight of his supporters; perhaps someday though I doubt it a President that is elected by 51% of the popular vote will come to the conclusion they must work with the other side to be an effective leader for the US.

Obama was very smart to make a Syrian attack the decision of our Congress! Our Congress is in stalemate, nothing gets done. Make them responsible is a wise choice. What will they decide? NOTHING, as usual! We don't need another war! Syria is a big booby trap for us. Let's stay far away from it!

We don't need another war, period! Syria is a bigger problem to Russia, Saudi Arabia and others.
When the Saudis can outfit their Roll Royce s with missile launchers, let them solve this problem!

America is the root of all terror. America has invaded sixty countries since world war 2.
In 1953 America overthrow Iran's democratic government Mohammad Mosaddegh and installed a brutal dictator Shah. America helped Shah of Iran to establish secret police and killed thousands of Iranian people.
During Iran-Iraq war evil America supported Suddam Hossain and killed millions of Iranian people. In 1989, America, is the only country ever, shot down Iran's civilian air plane, killing 290 people.
In 2003,America invaded Iraq and killed 1,000,000+ innocent Iraqi people and 4,000,000+ Iraqi people were displaced.
Now America is a failed state with huge debt. Its debt will be 22 trillion by 2015.

Just say NO to war. Say NO to humanitarian bombing. say NO to intervention etc etc.

It is Iraq 2.0 plain and simple. Obama will not get his credibility back,
regardless of whether he attacks. He has done enough already trying to
sell us this pack of lies.

Sorry Mr. President, we're through with you.

Obama wisely left this choice to Congress!! Good move! Our Congress can't get anything done, nothing! Stalemate is the solution our Congress actually agrees on!
I do not support US involvement in Syria, let's see what our "do nothing" Congress decides! More than likely, they will decide NOTHING! Make this some one elses probem!!!

Don't be so sure! Obama is not a "cowboy" president like GWB was! He did whatever Cheney told him to do, all for the oil!
Who actually got Iraq's oil? China!!! Without one single "boot on the ground"! Cheney should be proud! He got Iraq's oil for China and Iraq's government for Iran! What an accomplishment!
