By Bryan Koenig

Even as the automatic spending cuts of the sequester continue to lack the major repercussions originally anticipated, there will be a glaring example of their impacts visible above many U.S. military bases this Independence Day.

Multiple bases, including Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii and North Carolina's Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base have been forced to cancel their July 4 fireworks displays in order to save money, according to Time.

A multi-million dollar concert with Justin Timberlake and before that with Jay-Z and B. But our troops, who sacrifice so much, are shat upon. May the fleas from a thousand donkeys infest Obama's scr.otum.

Of course they have to cut fireworks for our military but Obama gets to go on his 100 million vacation to Africa.

Really?? Obama agreed to the sequester with the Republicans. It was never meant to actually start, but instead for both parties to work together on a solution. The President stated he wanted to avoid the sequester but the GOP stated they wanted it and were not going to back down. So yea although Obama shouldn't have worked with Republicans to create this thing in the first place, the Republicans can be blamed for it actually starting- and the Republicans are supposed to be the ones pro-military. Ha Ha Ha....yea right. They can care less obviously..........

The sequester was created to force Obama to meet his end of a bargain he didn't so the sequester went into effect. So if your going to point fingers point them in the right direction.

Boo-f*****g-hoo. Idiot Jr. was always on vacation during his entire 'presidency'. A total piece of sh!t. Put a loaded gun in your mouth and see how many times you can pull the trigger. Do society a favor.

Suggest the Brass in the Pentagon and on the bases reduce there reliance on a driver, curb their spending on BS and celebrate a great day as Independence Day. I'm Not American but that national holiday should always be celebrated no matter what. That's like forgetting ANZAC day in Australia or New Zealand...never going to happen.

Sequestration of the Military came about because of the fiscal cliff, the Obama Administration, funding for ObamaCare and the Democratic Majority.
