FIRST ON CNN: North Korea could be planning missile launch, official says

From CNN's Barbara Starr at the Pentagon

Intercepted communications in recent days indicate that North Korea could be planning to launch a mobile ballistic missile in the coming days or weeks, a U.S. official tells CNN. Previously, South Korean Defense Minister Kim Kwan-jin said that North Korea has moved a medium-range missile to its east coast for an imminent test firing or military drill.

NK 2, long range, can hit the moon with its boosters still on. MSS or multiple solid state. Can carry chemical, biological, conventional nuclear or nuclear nuclear (2 consecutive warheads). Lightweight aluminum magnesium hull. Looking forward to exterminate you all. Long live our Beloved Leader. DPRK.

he U.S. cannot EVER show any weakness or SECOND GUESSING as they recently did. This is an invitation to DPRK to exploit the weakness and once again extort the West and its allies for food/aid and concessions.
If the US screws this up, then we are all destined to a very long and demeaning future. If China see the US "Cowing" to DPRK, then fasten your seatbelts....as I think they may be allowing DPRK to do this as a test for future tactical moves in the world economy and balance of power..

Let NK do whatever they want! Don't be so paranoid We know their rockets can't hit anything. If we try to shoot them down, we will just expose to them how useless our interceptor missles are (very high failure rate).
NK is China's problem to solve, not ours. China provides most of NK's food, fuel and all of their rocket parts and technology. We need to tell China, in no uncertain terms, to stop this maddness! Either get NK resolved or we will no longer accept any of your manufactured products to enter the USA! This is the only way to solve this!

I see this as phase 2 of the master plan. Phase 1 was to launch an intercontinental ballistic missile with an inert load of similar geometry and weight of a small yield device, say 20 – 30 KT range. Phase 2 will be to perform a similar launch with a medium range missile/payload and maybe test the conventional explosives trigger package in the ocean for a ground burst capability. If they want to air burst a device all they need is either an altimeter or timed trigger. Phase 3 will be the marriage of an actual device with the applicable trigger, some more saber rattling, and then test an actual nuclear tipped gadget on Guam or Okinawa. Send a statement without too high of a bodycount. The UN, Russia, and China will not allow us to go nuclear on NK, so we respond with a measured conventional strike to make our point.

We know we may not hit anyone farther than Wasilla, Alaska, but by targeting your hero lady Sarah Palin, we know we will deal you a moral death blow you will not recover from so quickly! If they do test fire this missile we should use it as an opportunity to demonstrate anti-missile capabilities and intercept it. :-D

This news article, "first on CNN", BS. You guys have been terrible regarding coverage of NK. It's like you decide to put the important news up after the news crew gets to work and has breakfast. FFS update this stuff when it comes out, just like every other major news source.

I don't know if, during the last elections, you guys finally figured out nobody trusts CNN as an unbiased news source any longer, but it's as if you aren't even trying any more. Report the news when it is news and not when it's merely piggybacking on other sources coverage of the event.

"Peacfur" people don't threaten nuclear war. They sit down and discuss ways to help their people. That's what a real leader would do. He wouldn't watch his people starve to a point where they are a full two inches shorter than the average South Korean counterpart. All his threats and talk do one thing. They make him seem important to his people so that maybe they wont wise up and overthrow him-maybe. If you look at him at the meetings his generals have a glazed look in thier eyes. Similar to a young actor in hollywood who doesnt know how to pull off the believeable act yet. They dont believe in him; you can clearly see it. If he wants to unite Korea he should just keep runing his mouth. Korea will unite itself and he wont be a part of it.
