The hostage crisis in eastern Algeria is over, but the questions remain.
Among them, exactly how many people are unaccounted for at a remote natural gas facility after three days of chaos that ended Saturday, leaving 23 hostages and dozens of Islamist militants dead.
Some 685 Algerian workers and 107 foreigners were freed, the Algerian interior ministry said.
The White House, in a statement Saturday night, said it remained in close contact with the Algerian government to "gain a fuller understanding of what took place."
The State Department, meanwhile, warned against travel to Algeria.

India is mired in poverty and has a suppressive regime with respect to minorities. Substantial aid by the world over the years to India has failed to reverse the downward trends. We can now confirm that India has become unmanageable. If it is not imploded in a controlled manner we are afraid China will chew it up and spit it out. Therefore, we urge the UN general assembly to put this high on their agenda and vote “YES” to further breaking up India. Mass graves of minorities have been discovered in these muslim counties and the conscience of the world remains un-stirred................
Tourism in Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Algeria, Nigeria have virtually dropped to zero, while terrorism, unemployment, religious teaching have gone through the roof. More and more young muslims are joining terrorist groups to support their families. These young muslims are more vulnerable to be exploited by mullahs also known as terrorist recruiters. All mosques are becoming terrorist recruiting center too in countries like Pakistan, Yemen, Benghazi.
The apathy towards minorities of muslim countries like Pakistan, Somalia, Benghazi, Yemen, Algeria, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, especially in the western world, is because of their pursuit of oil interest in the Middle East, where these USA, EU countries are more eager to “secure their oil supply with crook Arabs of Saudi Arabia, UAE than human rights in poor muslim countries"............
