Netanyahu urges U.S. to set 'red line' for Iran

By the CNN Wire Staff

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Sunday that the United States must establish a clear "red line" that Iran cannot cross with its nuclear program if it wants to avoid war.

"I think the issue is how to prevent Iran from completing its nuclear weapons program. They're moving very rapidly to completing the enrichment of the uranium that they need to produce a nuclear bomb. In six months or so, they will be 90% of the way there," Netanyahu said on CNN's "State of the Union."

"I think it's important to place a red line before Iran, and I think that actually reduces the chance of a military conflict because, if they know there's a point, a stage in the enrichment or other nuclear activities that they cannot cross because they'll face consequences, I think they'll actually not cross it," Netanyahu told CNN's Candy Crowley.

Concerns in Washington that Israel could launch a pre-emptive strike on Iran's nuclear facilities prompted a wave of visits this summer to Israel by several top Obama administration officials.

Just so you know, there is a good. He is out there. I am 14 years old and i know this. would you rather get forced to do stuff all day like a slave? or make your own decisions? God lets us decide what we want to do. Out of human nature we dont always make the right one. So dont talk against god you obviously do not know what you are talking about. Have fun in hell

I've already been to the Throne Room when i was 17 years old. God took me there in the Spirit and I saw firsthand the rainbows that John of Patmos saw, so...please refrain from saying that there is no God. God enabled me when He took me to the Throne Room to see Himself seated high above on His Throne and His Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth seated next to Him at His Right Hand. Both are full of great splender and Great Might. Our God reigns in the Heavens and cannot be destroyed. God feels great pain about the earth and will rescue His Own Reigning Ones. It is our utmost duty and responsibility as citizens of the United States of America to not ONLY support Israel in our deepest loyalties, but also monetarily if possible, although after the DAMAGES OF THE OBAMA MASSACRE, our road to recovery is going to be led by somebody very substantial who will pave the way back to a place of relative stability. During this time, America is SUPPORTING ISRAEL COMPLETELY and this is our last and final statement about it. Forget the White House. People do not TRUTH UNTIL THEY HAVE SEEN GOD AND HIS SON JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH. THEN: we will talk about Truth. God reigns in the Heavens. This is absolute and His Sovereignity is unquestionable. You fail as a human, but God does not fail. You sin as a human, but God is perfect. God is everywhere and loves everybody, but cannot accept those who reject Him AFTER KNOWING WHO HE IS into His Heavenly Kingdom. We support Netanyahu completely and we LOVE ISRAEL!!!!!!! WE ALWAYS WILL!!!!!!!!

Please do not fall for this again!!! Netanyahu has manipulated us into fighting his battles before and he is trying to do it again. He is giving us 'false' Intelligence on the Iran WMD's just like he did in the Iraq war. The US listened to him then and we went to war. Don't fall for it again, please.

Netanyahu shame on you for inserting yourself in our politics!!! Go back and fight your own wars!!!

No. Netanyahu has our full support. I don't care WHAT Obama says or does. He's not even a president. At.all. Netanyahu has our fullest support, our love, and whatever else he asks for. We absolutely do too support him 100%. Prime Minister Netanyahu, just ignore the frailties of Americans who are losing their footage for loyalty. Not all Americans have lost their loyalty to you. I stand with you. God stands with you. Please urge your nation to fully trust and rely on the Lord their God. Please disregard our president. He is so full of foolishness, it is absurd. President Bush fully supported you, loved you and still does. You have our total loyalty. Whatever you need to do to remain, then do it. Do not be embarrassed by Iran's immature and wicked and childish behavior at the U.N. metting. It was worse then Obama. Very immature and not with the political caliber that Americans are used to seeing from Reagan, from President Bush. I apologize deeply...as deeply as needbe to cause you to forgive the foolishness in this nation right now. Our country is in dire straights with a greedy president pushing for communism where he feels he never has enough money no matter what and sick citizens who do not know our policy with Israel that we love her. As much as we love our own. Please do overcome your enemies and sabotage all of their efforts to take Israel down. Please do this. You have our utmost love, devotion, and sympathy concerning the harrassment of your "neighbors".

Dear Prime Minister Netanyahu, please pray as hard as you will to Yeshua that our president quit riding the fence. Obama is so turned aside. "The wicked go astray from the womb speaking lies." He is a liar. There is a Stronghold of Lieing deep within Obama. Even if we sent him through Cleansing Ministry to get released of his Stronghold, he still must himself turn from that lieing Spirit and reject all lies since the womb. This is a difficult thing for any baby born who has had lies instilled inside of them since the womb. Lieing is a part of the fabric of who Obama is. Do not even waste your time on the unwelcome feeling of having to deal with him. The man is a liar since the womb–very wicked. You must, at least [until we could recooperate in this country by hiring a Republican who is honest and will deal fairly in foreign relations with you] disregard the aid that would have been there unabashedly. I am very deeply sorry and grieved by our president who wheezled his way into this country and lured the empty-minded liberals and somehow seduced their hearts. I ask you to pray for America as well as Israel. It seems we are both on thin ice right now. Please have a safe and pleasant evening. Sincerely, a real citizen of the United States of America.

False election year drama. Obama has consistantly stood up for Israel.
Jon Stewart has been reminding people for months about this: http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/tue-march-6-2012/hebrew-nationalist
Netanyahu has no problem with besmirching our sitting President during the final forty days of an election. Shame on him. Netanyahu consistently overplays his hand, and most of America is tired of it.
Israel is 100% safe. We stand by our allies. Obama has said this over and over and over.
The problem is not Obama's lack of support for Israel, it's that Obama understands who is the Superpower in this relationship and it drives Netanyahu crazy not to have a groveling sycophant as President of the USA.

This video makes it crystal clear that Obama has, in fact, NOT communicated the "red line" in the WAY that Prime Minister Netanyahu is desiring. United States of America, we will, as a NATION UNDER GOD WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL, completely and unabashedly completely SUPPORT Israel and their national security. Obama WILL draw this red line exactly where it needs to be. Obama, you're cornered with this and you need to act and you will act. You are gonna GROW SOME BALLS and get out there and get on the good side again. Get off that fence you've been riding and get out there and get your meetings ON with this man. You are gonna get your head out of the sand and wash your hands clean of the socialist crap that you envision for America. You are gonna TURN AROUND and face FORWARDS: towards Heaven and God. Now, do it.

"Netanyahu severely underestimates our "president's" choice to undermine Israeli protection by ignoring Prime Minister Netanyahu when it mattered the most. This month, in fact. This failure on the part of our "president" should only fan the flames in Prime Minister Netanyahu that our "president" cannot be relied upon to make even the simplest of choices to meet with you and discuss the issues at hand. Our "president" is at his lamest right now and I am urging the Israeli army to bolster up and proceed and do what you do best: warfare!!!! DO IT!!!!!!!!"

Netanyahu is no friend of the United States. Essentially, to him the US is a source of military and economic power for his benefit. If he would enter honest talks with the PA rather than continue building setlements on disputed land, maybe we could take him more seriously. It's too bad that debate over Israeli government policy can take place in Israel, but not in the United States.

You're only half right in that Netenyahu is not really an American 'friend'. However, the PA truly has not interested in coexistance and the demands they ahave outlines for peace are REDICULOUS.

Why don't we split Washington DC with the indians? Or split any other capital of a nation. Rarely if ever does a nation ever RETURN land to another party it took during hostile conflict, nevermind splitting the nations capital. Give me a break. They just politivize a new generation but the reality is the PA executors aren't seeeking peace, the seek retribution and if I were an Israely I would answer none of their current demands. The worlds perception on Israel today is skewed for little good reason. Imagine Israely conditions in your back yard and ask yourself if you would say the same. Easy to say from far away

Netanyahu is a Jewish redneck, hell bent on starting a new war in the middle east and getting US involved in another 20 year war while wasting trillions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives of our young soldiers. We may have to instil draft since we cannot have enough military to take on another war.

Netanyahu is a YAHU. A hot head. A extremists. A tea bagger. He makes people uncomfortable around him. He has no respect for the authority. He considers himself as a final authority. He wants to control US foreign policy since he has the congress in his control. He is a pushy reckless fanatic. In fact he has conducted terrorist operations in killing a whole lot of innocent women and children in the UN protection on UN grounds. It is know as legal terrorism. When the state of Israel kills innocent children with orders from this YAHU then it is legal and humane.

Compared with the Israel apartheit, South Africa's was a picnic.

Let me be clear, my children will not go to war to protect Israel. America is war weary and we will not go to war to protect you when you seem to be the one provoking a conflict with Iran. Since when did friends attempt to sabotage each other, as Mr. Netayahu attempted to do to President Obama? Who does he think he is? Israel is not the 51st state!!

woah woah woah. I think you are slightly uninformed here. Israel is not trying to set policies for the US. They are trying to prevent a nuclear world war. If anything, the US is trying to change Israel's policies by telling Netanyahu what he can and cannot do. Obama told Netanyahu that ISRAEL isn't allowed to take military action against Iran, as if he owns Israel. So, dont say that. And since Israel IS our friend, wouldn't you want us to help them? He isn't asking them to do ANYTHING but help create a red line. Creating a red line would be beneficial any way that you could look at it. Your children are much more likely to go to war if a red line ISN'T created.

America has invaded sixty countries since world war 2.

In 1953, America overthrow Iran's democratic government and installed a brutal dictator Shah of Iran. America helped Shah to established secret police and killed hundreds of thousands of Iranians.

During Iran-Iraq war, America helped Saddam Hussein and killed one million Iranians. America is the only country that shot down Iran's civilian air plain and killed all 290 passengers.

In 2003, America invaded Iraq and killed 1,000,000+ innocent Iraqi people and displaced 4,000,000+ Iraqi people.
Now, America is a failed country with huge debt. Its debt will be 24 trillion by 2015.

The REAL REASON for this tension buildup is due to the Jewish ZIONIST NeoCons who are trying to persuade and pressure a conflict by PROXY for ISRAEL's Benfit – NOT the United States! The REAL problem in the Middle East -and the World for that matter, lies with the RABID Zionist Jews who have Usurped American Politics in Washington, and continue to INFLUENCE our lawmakers, through Lobbies such as the TRAITOROUS AIPAC Lobby...

The American Media needs to Please stop placing the America public "lockstep" with the Rabid Zionist Jewish Neo-Conservatives interests in Israel and in America! The American people DO NOT condone the Occupation of Palestine, the Ethnic Cleansing going on there, and the continuing Apartheid of the indigenous people of Palestine! We refuse to give Israel 30 Billion dollars in Economic and Military assistance!!

Why are we as a nation giving Israel 30 BILLION dollars annually, to TAKE another's lands away? We have Americans here in the U.S. who can use this AID money!

AMERICANS DO NOT want to be ASSOCIATED WITH ISRAEL, And their Psychopathic Leaders there, and the psychopathic ways of the Zionists who have usurped American politics.

America, Thanks You mainstream media outlets of the U.S., For DISASSOCIATING OUR PEOPLE – The American People, From THE "INHUMANENESS" OF THE ZIONIST-NEO-CONSSERVATIVES IN ISRAEL. aMERICANS DO NOT SEEK WAR WITH IRAN-ISRAEL DOES. We have more problem at home than to worry about Israel. Israel has enough power to protect from any Iraninan threat. Israel has more than 100 nuclear bombs and best airforce in the entire mid-east and even beyond. Its land forces are fomidable ones to any in the region. It has most advanced navy in the region. so it can wipe off Iran easily. US can just sit and fix internal economy, healthcare, un-employment.

No matter how good an alliance we have with the Israelis, we can't have them declaring war on our behalf. Iran is a pretty formidable adversary, just because of its size. We could take out their nuclear facilities, but we could never put enough boots on the ground to overthrow their agenda. And we don't want to start a first strike
    nuclear war!

It is in the national interest of the US that Iran not acquire a nuclear weapon.

It is also in our national interest that Israel not attack Iran to prevent it from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

So what is the appropriate US policy and action?

One last thought before you all go to sleep tonight. Nazi Germany(aryans) came within a pig's hair of having nuclear capabilities. They almost destroyed the free world then. Are you willing to trust the one country out there that arms 90% of the terrorist groups out there with arms and WOMD?
America is the only Country that has used nuclear weapons and we fully understand the consequences of what would happen now if Iran gets The Bomb. Why do you think they are pouring so much into Israel? They don't want them to have to use The Bomb to protect themselves. Are you out there so stupid and so immature not to understand what's about to happen?

The one Country that we know that has the power in the Middle East has not had to use it.yet. If none of you out there do not understand what the Jews mean when they say " Never Again", Then get ready for one hell of a horror that's coming.

You are retarded, they are 'Aryan' because Aryan means Iranian. This term was never originally nazi, nor was the Swastika, for that matter.
Israel cries 'never again' like they always cry 'HOLOCAUST' whenever somebody wishes to criticize them. If Israel does start WWIII, at least they won't be around either, so some good may come.

Iran needs to know that the US is going to use force. The whole ambiguous nature of the Obama administration regarding Iran is amateurish. Obama needs to take a lesson from the Reagan playbook. When the hostages were taken in 79, Reagan promised that if he was elected he would Bomb Iran until those hostages where released. Upon his inauguration the Islamic republic announced the release of the US hostages. A red line is the ONLY thing the Islamic Republic will recognize.

I understand your point, and agree with you. However, Iran is a major supporter of terrorism, and actively opposes Western interests in the region. The less influence the US has in the region, the less it can maintain its standard of living. This is a region where superpowers are constantly vying for power, if one power loses influence it does so at the expense of anther (China). If Iran is not dealt with soon, it may seem impossible later.

Every country needs to do what is best for itself. Attacking Iran because our ally tells us to is not in THIS country's best interest.

That being said, I would not push the US if i was Iran. They underestimate the United States resolve.

Israel and the Arabs are always at each others throats. They all come from the same ancestor Abraham and they're like children fighting in the candy-store over who got the most candy.

Put a yamaka or a turban on the head of each of them and you can't tell the difference. They've invaded and fought each other through countless centuries. They've taken each other as slaves, intermingled, intermarried, raped and pillaged each other so many times that there is no difference between them at all especially when it comes to violence.

How many times does the US have to step in and stop their temper-tantrums?
We need to leave the whole area and stop doing business with either side. No more economic exchange until they grow up and behave like adults. But everyone screams “What about the Oil?”

We can create our own energy supplies if we would stop putting 2.5 million dollars per minute into our war-machine here in the US, we would find the money necessary to develop many levels of safe energy. Yes that's correct 2.5 million every minute of each day and night goes into our war-machine in funds not only to the Pentagon but other budgets for contractors of the Military Industrial Complex.

President Eisenhower warned us to watch out for the MIC. He said it would be the one thing that could destroy our Democracy and they made a good attempt when they recently passed the National Defense Authorization Act. Google it NDAA clause 1021 which now allows our military to arrest US Citizens without warrant, transport them to Secret Prisons and hold them indefinitely without trial and forever if necessary. This was passed overwhelmingly by ALL the Republicans in Congress and 16 Democrat Traitors.

This is where all of this war and fear leads us to. The terrorists didn't annihilate our Bill of Rights. Our own so called leaders did. It was all done in the name of Peace via War.

Final word of note “If we have a Liberal News Media then how come you don't know about the NDAA section 1021?” How come I had to tell you instead of FOX news or any of the other Corporate News Media?

It's time to wake up. You better start supporting the ACLU while you still have any American Civil Liberties left.

They do not own us. We give them $3 billion a year, and they are already rich. They own and control our political system. We should be shocked and ashamed and angry about this. Not rejoicing the chance to invade another country, with huge cost, both financial, and human, to our country.

You over simplifying a much more complex issue. If the US does not protect its allies it faces the consequences of diminished global influence. This causes a reverberating as well it bolsters other nations into pursuing the same course. This brings consequences regarding trade, and national security. If the US does not go to war when it is necessary it will inevitably lead to a decline in US standards of living.

James Don't you remember how everyone thought that Iraq would be a quick war? It led to another, then another and in essence this is now twice as long as the longest war our Nation has ever been in.

Believe me, the Pentagon and MIC would love to see war go on forever. They are tied totally into each other along with our Political leaders who work for and with them.

Example: Dick Cheney was former CEO head of Halliburton, the Corp. which got all the giant contracts from our Tax-Dollars to Re-build all the things our Tax-Dollars destroyed in Iraq. Dick Cheney was the main driving force behind this war. i.e. Dick Cheney got incredible kick backs from Halliburton even though he was no longer their CEO.

Get it? It's not just Iran that wants Nuclear Weapons. Unfortunately George Bush Junior and Dick Cheney taught the world one great lesson. "If you don't want to be invaded by the U.S. then get your hands on Nuclear Weapons." This is a very bad lesson to teach.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Islamist fundameltalists hold the US responsible for the video one individual put out (mocking their prophet). The connection that the US didn't ridicule Mohammed, one (Israeli-American) did, didn't register with the Muslims (both radical and non-radical) in certain nations. They didn't understand that to most Americans, we didn't give a darn about that blue-screened movie or it's creator. Yet there are rallies and American flag burning and the death of innocent Americans.

As I said earlier, there will be some that want to hold America accountable for Israel's actions. I would suggest that their actions are not related to ours. If Israel's enemies invole the US as a 3rd party, they may wish otherwise.

Lastly, other nations are powerful because they expect America to play "within the rules" while they attack innocent people. We are very creative and will do what is necessry to protect our people and interests.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned and demand the United States must establish a clear "red line" that Iran cannot cross with its nuclear program if it wants to avoid war. I think Israel needs to start talking to their neighbors and stop asking for help. Who are they to warn and demand anything from the USA. Stop whining and start talking!!!

Their neighbors want the jewish state destroyed as well. Do you seriously believe that Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan will help Israel neutralize Iran if asked by Israel?! Besides, Iran said that they would want Israel wiped off the map....they did not mention its Arab neighbors!

Israel must be able to survive on its own. It certainly should not be provoking its neighbors by creating more settlements and demanding the U.S. act on its behalf. Americans are getting tired of Netanyahu – they are certainly tired of war. Plus, you would think that a culture with such a terrible past would understand the ills of an Apartheied type government. Israel is blinded by it's own hate and greed and needs to seriously seek a lastijng solution for the Palestenians. I mean it's not like Israel had been there prior to WWII - so get over it and show you can work with others.

What makes Netanyahu think he can demand what the United States do or not do? Like he listened when we asked, in the name of peace by God, that he stop construction in the occupied territories of Palestine.

Netanyahu is not demanding anything of the US. The US is asking him not to strike. All Netanyahu is saying is LEAD OR GET OUT OF THE WAY!

So your definition of leadership is doing what you are told to do?

James Do you remember just recently Mrs. Clinton offered to give 30 of our Stealth Fighters to Israel if they would wait at the negotiation table and hold their tempers? This is how they play us. I remember at one time the Stealth aircraft was the most top secret projects the US had going . Then we just give away OUR TAX DOLLARS in planes costing Billions. To do what? Make More War.

Believe me, If Israel hits Iran, they will be using our Top of the Line Stealth Jets paid for with Our Tax Dollars. Then in a short time they will turn around and state that they want more stuff to stay out of war with someone over there.

They did the same thing in Desert Storm. They demanded that we forgive all of our debt to them if they stayed out of the conflict with Sadamm. Oh yes also: The wanted free Patriot Missiles to boot. They laughed all the way to the Bank. These people over there, the Arabs and Israels are children fighting in the Candy-Store.

Join the forces and be in the front lines. No problem there.
