Iran will test-fire missiles during "war games" this week, the semiofficial Mehr News Agency reported.
The three-day exercise, which began Monday, will target desert bases made to look like airbases of "extra-regional powers," the agency said.
"During the war games, long-range, medium-range, and short-range missiles will be used and will be fired from different points across the country at 100 designated targets," Brig. Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh told reporters, according to Mehr.
The point of the exercises, he said, is to give experts the chance to assess the "precision and efficiency of warheads and missile systems," the agency reported.

I'm sitting here in Qatar at the CAOC for 6 months, and these "war games" have nothing to do with deterrring Israeli aggression...this has to do with exerting "leverage" they feel is necessary to counter Saudi Arabia's long time economic superiority and now recent military parity...add on the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait regularly cooperating with Saudi Arabia militarily irritates Iran even further because they feel they are being "marginalized" and becoming irrelevant in the region. Rob, continue to sit in your house and "think" that you know the "real deal" on Iran's "motivation" and let the folks who are actually in harms way that have the "truth data" (our lives depend on having the right information) actually "know" the "real deal".
