American officers killed in Afghan ministry

By Nick Paton Walsh, with reporting from Barbara Starr and Masoud Popalzai

The Taliban claimed responsibility for an attack Saturday inside the Afghan interior ministry that killed at least two American officers.

NATO and Afghan officials reported the deaths of two American officers inside the ministry in Kabul, prompting Gen. John Allen to order all military advisers with the International Security Assistance Force to withdraw from government ministries in the Afghan capital as a safety precaution, according to a U.S. official.

Well you guys dont understand the problem do you? You guys think that you came into Afghanistan to help the Afghan people? Look at their condition. They are worse than before. Even the women are still not given their rights. US spent US$1 trillion fighting the taliban. What if USA just financed the reconstruction of Afghanistan for a quarter of that money. The Afghan people would have than regarded you guys as saviours, now they see you as occupiers.

the usa only wants world peace, thinking we are warlike is a huge injustice to the values of the people, don't ever forget that it was they who started it and the usa will kill to protect the welfare of its people, we defeated the nazis (mien kampf is the second most read literature in the ME next to koran), we saved the people of bosnia from slovak horror, we dont want to wage war but were forced to, 2000+ people would still be alive today in nyc if it wern't for the terror infused region, imagine how many of their own would still be here, who lets their women drive and go to school, iran likes to stone women and hang young gay men excuse me boys for being gay, who is the bad guy

NATO and the U.S went into Afghanistan to get those responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Period!
Now that Osama and most of his cohort is gone the U.S. should get out of there and let them
      cut each other up...

The Koran should be banned and prohibited because it is more violent, discriminatory and antisemitic than Hitler's book "Mein Kampf". Its content is extremely offensive, repulsive, denigrates and humiliates all non-Muslims especially Jews. All Western countries should analyze these violent demonstrations/killings and consider taking actions against this evil religion before it is too late.

what is the point, the whole darn taliban army is sleeping in the pakistan tribal regions, us military strength comes from assualting an enemy....not blocking an insurgency into the country, korea was a war with china, vietnam was a war with the north, iraq was a war with iran (plus a civil war) and afghanistan is a war with the pakistani tribal regions, no general will say that you can win a war when you allow your enemy to have a safe zone where they engage in basic training, have hospitals, chow halls and what not, plus we sit here and destroy the afghanistani's only cash crop (opium) ... i was reading a think tank from washington's analysis of the war and they stated that in order to have victory in afghanistan we would need to dump billions of us dollars, nope sorry, we are bankrupt as it is, instead the dea should be given the mission to sell the opium to all the drug dealers in the world then we would know who they are and we could sell enough where they couldn't turn a dollar in dumping the stuff in america, that is smart, the president cant go around invading the tribal regions, why, because pakistan has nukes but rather he should get them on board by giving them something they could use, anyways the taliban is a problem for them too, all the usa wants to do is clean up their wild west for them, hmm, might work, this war will never end while the taluban has its safe zone in pakistan, the war on terror is only going to get worse, this so called "arab spring" will only result in a lawless region, a breading ground for terror, the new war on terror should be thought of as gang stile warefare, 20 spec ops guys walking the third world streets dressed like the locals going around and killing them where they decide to setup, the third world is not like a develop country, the law is the gun, not the nice man dressed with a police shirt, the war in pakistan is fubar, and you can't really blame the current president, but whoever gave the order at tora bora to allow the whole darn taliban to escape into pakistan should sure answer to someone, their is no way that many heat signatures escape from the us air force, and even the fighting in afghanistan itself is fubar, that rescue mission we lost 20 plus seals on was a prime example of not fighting to win, navy seals should not have been a rescue for army rangers bogged down in a firefight, seals are a good rescue team for an unsuspecting enemy, and they are the best warriors we have and i sure wouldn't want to mess with them, but not a hot lz like they were inserted into, no a better option would have been specter gunships or maybe even a company of marines, the afghan army is unprofessional, the cia should x out karzai and put an american who looks like them in charge as a warlord, then sell all the opium you can and control the loyalty of the country by keeping their pockets fat and bellies full

The wars are not about winning , dog4dog ,but are about getting the 1% rich. In Korea American troops were told to stay at the 38 th parallel while the Chinese were pouring across Yalu river into North Korea. The brave General MacArthur had the guts ( few generals dared since) to tell President Truman ( a mason-draw your own conclusions) that that was not how to win wars. The general was fired and we are still in conflict there today with a lot of MIAs.Similarly was VietNam tragedy, Iraq and other endless wars. Time to put some of our leaders on trial for treason in view of our bancrupcy.

i wouldn't say treason, it is all in the best interest of americans (at heart) just mistakes that should be brought to light, nobody gets put in those position's without some humbleness, what they should do is just setup shop in iraq and all the rest, form a perimeter and take all the oil and leave them with nothing to fuel their refromation, i might consider dick cheney to be a bit odd though, he did make market miracle gains on his halliburton stock during the war with iraq, but in all fairness the no bid contract they got for the war could be because he knew the way they worked being their main ceo before he became vp

i do agree that their is no victory in sight with the war against the taliban, victory is not possible while the taliban has its safe zone where only minimal attacks occur, the war is shifting, america won't use its military for major conflicts nor should they, gang warefare is cheaper, nobody gets letters about dead sons and daughters, and american military can rebuild and resolve for its next major conflict, murder is the key for the next phase of the war, gang warefare is the key, that along with the state department, burning korans doesn't build the bonds we need, feeding locals rib sandwiches doesn't win the war, all in all most people in the world only want to bring flowers home to their wives and candy to their children, those same people become enemies when you shoot their goats

israel is our enemy and the Afghan people.

Real American Patriots want nothing to do with israel. Think Ron Paul.

Plus cnn is a red herring spouting Nazi-style propaganda. cnn is guilty of spreading hate and fear. No longer a news organization, cnn has become a zionist tool. Excite anxiety with no debate about why the whole world hates israel – instead cnn spouts out a constant beating of the war drums against any country or person that opposes the evil ideology of zionism.

cnn's stories are pitiful, lame and plain silly . . .all idf propaganda. Then there are the traitors who show up in cnn articles and tv video-takes that talk of war with Iran and proclaim their loyalty to defend israel. You would think they would be trying to keep us Americans out of harm way but with manufactured 9-11 events, the zionist controlled U.S. government does all it can to try to convince people that Iran is our enemy. Iran is not our enemy.

Our enemy is israel. We're being conned. The federal reserve, debt, the IRS, Federal Taxes, all of it . . .IT'S SLAVERY!

From Obama to most of the jerk offs in Congress, to the whole dang system – it's design to benefit the dirty evil zionists in israel.

    Pure madness!

It won't stop with Iran . . . after Iran, it will be Pakistan, then India, then China. And in every war that will come along, the dirty evil zionists will benefit and you won't see one gutless baby-killing idf jerk off on any of the battlefields that you'll find our dead fighting forces on. Our children and yours! Dying for a foreign country like slaves.

We're doing all the dying and they do nothing but collect the money our traitor Congress gives them every year.

What the heck, I want America back!

The dirty evil zionists in israel are not are friends.

The men who run cnn should be ashamed. But what the heck, lies are lies and liars are liars.

The only problem is: if a dumb goyim like myself can see how weak your daily on-the-clock comments you're posting here, then you, o'boy are ineffective in your propaganda/job. Because if I can spot your weak arse comments to be propaganda, then other more stupid goyims can see it too.

How many times are you going to repost the same post? This article has zero to do with the topic of your post. You also spend a lot of time blogging on CNN websites Two American Officers paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our great nation. A simple thank you and an appreciation for their sacrifice and the sacrifice of their families is what is needed. They were killed by an identified Afghanistan shooter inside the Afghanistan Ministry of Interior. Instead you dishonor them with your hate filled post. "Real American Patriots" are the two American Officer's who gave their lives attempting to help another nation secure the same freedoms and liberty of our country, in an effort to make our nation more secure. They died defending a nation of 300 million Americans comprised of every race, creed and religion from around the world.

The Koran is more violent, discriminatory and ant-Semitic than Hitler's book "Mein Kampf". It should be banned and prohibited. Not one single Muslim cleric has apologized about all the atrocities, genocides committed under this satanic book precepts and dogmas. The Koran's content incites, promotes, instigates and justifies all the hatred, violence, resentment, terrorism and discrimination around the world. Its words are extremely offensive and discriminatory to all non-Muslims especially Jews. I wish the Koran is treated the same way as Hitler's book Mein Kampf.

We really need to pull out of Afghanistan with the utmost haste. Our mission was accomplished with the demise of the world's most wanted terrorist in Pakistan, certainly without any help from the locals. Our troops are embroiled in a region that needs to take care of its own business. Afghanistan's leadership is so corrupt, that every effort we make is wasted and only generates additional ill will towards America. Let's focus our valuable resources back on the homeland. Bring our troops home.

Absolutely unacceptable and a sad continuing story that American and ISAF military and civilians are senselessly killed over this. While burning the Koran seems to be unfortunate and should have not happened, the actions of a country that doesn't seem to care about taking care of itself continues.

Gingrich did make a good point about reprocity in the apoligy process. Let that never hinder in doing the right thing. When the question becomes not doing it out of fairness, thats kinda childish. What ever happened to the suck it up attitude and being a man. A man can apoligze sincerly without giving up strength.Infact it just renforces the fact that man is indeed stronger with more wisdom. I will keep saying it to the day I die. quit making enemies, quit making things worse with violence and EVERYBODY LOVE EVERYBODY so that I can selfishly get one night of real sleep before I die.Thankyou for your co-operation in this simple selfless act that each of us can preform.

Comparatively speaking the Koran is more violent, discriminatory and anti-Semitic than Hitler's book "Mein Kampf". The best defense against Islam is a good offense. Muslim clerics never apologize for the atrocities and genocides committed under Koran's precepts. These and other demonstrations around the world are evidence of the satanic influence this evil religion has over millions of brainless Muslims. Unless the Koran is banned and prohibited, these violent acts will continue forever.

the koran doesnt preach violence the koran is about peace and killing another in the koran is like breaking a ten commandment. you should read it or study it before you speak on it. the reason theyre attacking us now isnt cause the koran says so its because theyre offended and its a well known fact that people in afghanistan are alot more religious than we are, they will jumo into a fire to save a religious symbol.

One thing I would really like to say is alawys that before obtaining more laptop memory, consider the machine directly into which it can be installed. If your machine is actually running Windows XP, for instance, a memory ceiling is 3.25GB. Applying more than this would merely constitute a waste. Make sure that one's mother board can handle the particular upgrade quantity, as well. Interesting blog post.
