Drone strike in Pakistan kills 10 near Afghan border

By Reza Sayah, CNN

Ten people were killed Wednesday when a suspected U.S. drone fired two missiles at an insurgent hideout in Pakistan's northwest tribal region, three security officials said.

The early morning attack took place 10 kilometers east of Miranshah, the main town of North Waziristan, according to the officials, who asked not to be identified because they were not authorized to speak to the news media on the matter.

North Waziristan is one of seven districts in Pakistan's tribal region along the Afghan border and widely believed to be a haven for the Haqqani network and other militant groups that are fueling the insurgency in Afghanistan.

The attack Wednesday morning was the fourth suspected U.S. drone strike on Pakistani soil this year, all of them targeting locations in North Waziristan.

This crnutoy, power in this crnutoy has done most bad in the whole world all through the history. Most bad to their own people, most to the other nations. Why nobody stops Russia!И это слова взрослого человека, наглядный пример что твориться в головах, промыленных местными и зарубежными медиа источниками.

At almost any moment in the Middle East and elsewhere, Arab children are being indoctrinated in their schools and religious academies in the principles of radical Islamic fundamentalism (Sharia) requiring the hatred of Jews, Westerners, and all non-Muslims.

Any fool who believes that acts of kindness, mercy or compassion will actually change the collective psyche of Islamic fundamentalist behavior had better understand the magnitude of unquenchable bigotry and hatred they're dealing with.

Someone said there's a "threat" coming out of Iran. Could the Iranians say that there's athreat coming out of us?
We must be fair in our assessments. Which of the 2 countries has already used nuclear arms to destroy a people? If we want to be fair we must look at the truth as uncomfortable as it may be. Naturally I do not want to see any war/conflict/invasion. Think: if Iran's main resource in its vicinity were cucumbers instead of oil, would we be so interested in them?... Peace and harmony to all!

There are two glaring omissions to your statement about our use of nuclear weapons. One, the country is still there. Two, they started it.

I don't see any omissions. One, of course the country is still there, we didn't nuke the entire island. What's that got to do with it? Two, they didn't start with the nukes. We did.

well thats nice, but there is a HUGE THREAT coming out of iran ! iran is now sending troops into syria to support assad in the slaughter of the people , iran is now positioning its self against israel in syria , and all this is supported by putin. obama must shake off all fears and face irans threat head on and destory the iran nuke sites. if this chaos is not confronted it will quickly spread into europe. a attack on a small pocket of bad guys in pakistan is not going to devert the eyes of the american people and the world from iran . wow obama is failing us all

The United States armed forces are going to run out of ammunition (Hellfire missiles included) if they keep on targeting "pawns and bishops" at Pakistan’s peripheral regions, while the ‘Head Honchos’ remain seated comfortably at apex of Pakistan’s civilian and military establishments.
