The terrorists out there are growing in number everyday. Just look what they are doing in Wall Street. The most dangerous terrorist movements started with the so called Tea Party movement. In the future, drones will enable a surgical takeout of these cancerous thugs.

Alot of nut jobs in here today. Bunch referencing god (aka Sky Daddy) and they don't get it. The whole reason this came about was originally due to religious beliefs. Unbelievable.

    >mako "Most of the horrible terrorist attacks Americans have suffered were done by white Americans, citizens."

sorry pal, the overwhelming majority of terror attacks are carried out by muslims
islam is a cult, not a relegion, islam preaches violence and lieing
the koran is hatespeech, and should be banned

I'm glad obama has finally grown a pair and decided that terorists will have no safe haven. Any nation which hides terrorists is complacent in thier crimes, and is in fact a terorrist nation. I hope US military kills every last one of them.

"Was it LEGAL to kill Al AWLAKI?", yes of course. We will kill ANYONE, who our AUTHORITIES deem to be DANGEROUS to the well-being and SECURITY of the United States of America. Especially, an American Citizen, like Al Awlaki, whom this country (U.S.A.) gave so much to. He was very EDUCATED...with several degrees to his credit. I doubt he could have gotten this kind of EDUCATION....in his country of ORIGIN, Yemen.

As an American Citizen, he should have known better. With an EXTENSIVE education such as he had, YES.....he should have known better. Nobody is given the LUXURY of turning against his own country. If anythiing,, he should have been there to DEFEND it. When you turn against your own country, it's NO DIFFERENT, if you turned against your own Father and Mother, and brothers, and sisters, and the rest of your bloodline.

By turning into a BENEDICT ARNOLD.......YOU ARE NO LESS THAN SCUM, and will be treated like SCUM. There are many young people in other countries..WHO WOULD GIVE THEIR RIGHT ARM.....for the rights to CITIZENSHIP in AMERICA. Most people come to this country.....TO BETTER THEMSELVES. And we will fight...TOOTH AND NAIL....to preserve what we have here in America. FREEDOM IS NOT FREE. It has been bought with a lot of BLOOD and TREASURE. Look at the HISTORY of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA!!

So, if you think the KILLING of Al Awlaki was illegal........then, you are trying to engage in the LUXURY of accusing our authorities, who are in charge of maintaining the INTEGRITY and SECURITY of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA....and NEEDLESS to say........we just WON'T BUY IT. If you love to enjoy our CIVIL LIBERTIES, our DEMOCRACY, our COMPASSIONATE SYSTEM, designed to PROTECT your rights......as a Citizen....THEN, YOU BETTER BEHAVE!!

Or be at the BUSINESS END of a HELLFIRE MISSILE, AIMED AGAINST YOU!!...Be ready to meet your maker!!

I wanted to convey my feelings about CNN coverage. These are infact not just my feelings, these are the feelings of most of the Muslims living in the United States and in other Western countries. It is interesting and disappointing that how CNN covers all those news so prominently which are related to few distracted so-called muslims engaging in acts of extremism or terrorism and prominently associate their acts with Islam. There are more than 1 billion Muslims around the world and predominantly most of them believe in Peace and practice Peace. Such news cause an overall feeling of hatred towards Muslims which make common Muslims isolated from the society as general public preceive them differently from common people. Also when prominent media covers acts of those few ill-minded extremists who are handful in numbers, they and their followers get encouraged on getting prominent coverage.

Whereas, CNN usually ignores those events of Muslims that they arrange with a lot of effort to promote peace and love for the humanity. For example, CNN just ignored a huge anit-extremism event titled "Peace for Humanity Conference" that was organized by a big Islamic organization Minhaj-ul-Quran in London last week and which was attended by about 13,000 people, mainly Muslims and mainly youth. In that event a prominent Islamic scholar Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri promoted Islam's message of peace for the World. He very clearly condemned terrorists and extremists and highlighted clearly message of peace from Islam's basic religouis scriptures i.e. Quran and Hadith. Wembley Arena was packed of people who attended this whole day conference. Dr. Qadri invited scholars from other religions too and they all prayed together for peace. Many prominent international media including BBC highlighted this event except CNN.

I believe such events should be highlighted to promote peace and love between all religions. It is understandable that such peaceful events may not be able to generate high ratings like the isolated terrorism events, but for the benefit of the society CNN should consider sacrificing some ratings and promoting peace rather than indirectly and unintentionally becoming part of promoting the mission of extremists.

      Sharjeel,

I spent two years over 4 tours in Afghanistan and Pakistan and I hear you're voice and I agree with you, but here's my concern. If CNN and other major news networks did what you are saying they should, it wouldn't change the average American's minds about Islam or Muslim people. America is a Christian nation that allows freedom of religion not vice versa. When we watched live the second plane hit the WTC, no one thought to themselves, damn those black or mexicans. We all knew, you knew too. Sure there are bad ones in any group, religion or culture, but most Americans are not going to admit their problems or our problems as a nation. Look what happened to the Japanese people after Pearl Harbor, I wouldn't complain about not being recognized as a peaceful culture. America is a sick old country, but were getting better. At least we didn't put all Muslims in concentration camps. Let us watch you're people and the ones who are like you, well stop watching, but the ones like the few you're talking about well continue to watch them and when the time comes stop them. If you are not doing anything wrong then don't worry. It's no difference in any other race or culture. Mexicans are typically very religous, hard working and well to do people, but many of their sons get caught up in gangs or I like street terrorism better. CNN does not show their celebrations of peace either, but love to report about MS13 and TV's flooded with shows like Gangland, Prisons, etc. America loves it's drama, but not enough to fix our problems behind the drama we sell!

Terrorism is a world wide problem, not an American, not a Middle East problem, a world-wide problem. I think this was a good move and shows our President's will to fight terrorism world-wide. Terrorism has no face, no uniform no color and certainly no boundaries. Most of the horrible terrorist attacks Americans have suffered were done by white Americans, citizens. If this terrorist wasn't American this story would be about what it should be about, an airstrike in Yemen. There is the story and I like where it sheds light on the future. Their should be drone attacks in Africa where ethnic cleansing takes place by terrorists groups, or in Columbia, etc. If terrorists don't have borders or laws why should be restricted to them. We can't win if we can't fight fair and yes this is fair!
